Can't get used to Blackberry phone

Hi, to cut a long story short I let my other half talk me into getting a Blackberry Curve phone like he has got so that we can use the Blackberry messenger together. I have got it on contract for £22 per month but seeing as my other contract hadn't expired (even though the phone I was using with that contract had broken) I still have £12 per month to pay on that aswell until it ends in November.

However, I can't get used to the Blackberry phone. Is there any way I could swap it for another one or will I get used to the Blackberry eventually. Any Blackberry fans out there who could make me love it :)

    Sell on ebay.
Buy whatever you like unlocked or locked to the network you have the contract with.

Normally you have 7 days. It can be longer for some retailers, but some can insist in the phone being 'unused'.
  • I had a Blackberry and really couldn't get on with it - I tried for 3 months but hated it so much that i decided to get an iPhone 3GS which iv since upgraded to an iPhone 4 - Best decision iv ever made!

  • I've had Blackberrys for about the last 4 years and love them. My current phone is the Torch. I'm so used to the "qwerty" keyboard that I find it hard to use an ordinary "abc" phone keypad.

If you can't get on with Curve try the 9105 it has a "normal" keypad, as your OH said BBM is good to use in that is doesn't come out of your text allowance. There again it depends how many texts you use a month if you are exceeding your limit then use BBM.

Hi thanks for your replies I've had the phone since Saturday. I also wish I hadn't taken out this contract before the other one ends. Is there anything I can do about that.

if you feel that bad i would deffo cancel it and return the blackberry, if you are really desperate for an upgrade however phones 4 u will sometimes offer to but people out of a contract which they will issue you with cash or cheque to pay it off but i don't know what there best deals on phones would be.

If you can return your phone get an android phone or iphone.
You can download whatsapp or pingchat.
These 2 apps work on blackberry too and it works exactly like bbm by using data/internet.

So make sure you have a contract plan which has internet allowance.

note: I think whatsapp is only free for 1 year trial, then you gotta buy it.
Not sure about pingchat because i dont use it.

edit: Nokia with symbian os also supports whatsapp
