  • Good evening everyone!

I'm new round here, and have been told that the flylady thread will help me get my home under control! It all seems pretty fast paced so I'll do my best to keep up!

I'm hoping to start the flylady activities tomorrow, I'll start with level one... I think it may take a while to get on top of everything :o

Just wanted to introduce myself, and say hi! Looking forward to getting started tomorrow :)

Hi! Nice to see you on here. Just a thought - it's not essential to keep up with the thread and it can sometimes be counterproductive. When I work I usually post once a day and only read back through the last page of the thread.

Welcome. Have you read posts 1 & 2? I've been here for about 4 months. It gets easier week by week. Just start with little bits. It soon adds up. With regard to the fast pace - we talk alot :D Mostly to give each other encouragement to do just 30mins. It soon adds up. Good luck

Thanks! I will be making most of the encouragement, left to my own devices the housekeeping slips rapidly. I've got my last few uni assignments for my second year due at the start of may so I'll definitely be starting small! :)

That is a good idea, I am very easily distracted from tasks that I should be doing but may not particularly want to... Thanks for the warm welcome, I'm looking forward to getting started tomorrow. The flylady approach seems much less daunting than the panicked efforts I usually resort to :o

Marm0sett11 we all know about procrastination. That's one of the dangers of flylady - you can spend all day on here and not get round to the housework :D so be careful. If you can, joining HHC's tends to focus the mind and you'll get prodded if you are found online while you should be flying.:T

That sounds great, I certainly need a gentle prod in the right direction most of the time! I'll have to try to manage my time online as well, now that I have found this forum! :D

Just seen the suggestions for tomorrow- I've been putting off cleaning the bathroom for ages, I think this is the sign I need to get on and do it! Although the study may be unrealistic- my filing system at the moment is vaguely related piles of paperwork/textbooks/journals balanced on anything and everything... :o I'll at least try to sort the mess of the floor out though!

Hello again everyone.....:o Sorry I have not been about much. I am really lacking in motivation and energy but really need to get my house sorted out as it is making me miserable. I have just been told by my doc that she thinks it is highly probable I have postnatal depression. So.....I will be aiming for level one each day for the moment. Problem is I have so much clutter that even level one tasks seem to take hours, this is as well as looking after three under fours. Any advice really would be welcome as I cannot seem to stick at anything at the moment :( I have read the first pages and the welcome message from when I joined before.

Dusty thats a lovely story, food for thought. :D

Which i hope things continue well for you.

    SSL good luck for tomorrow.

    Froddy have a lovely time.

Decided to go to bed early then Rhys woke me at 4 so he's now back to sleep and i'm gonna try and go back. Probably won't be able to sleep and if i'm not sleeping in half an hour i'll get up and make a start on the list. ;)
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
