Newsletter :o God there's no denying it now!

Relax - we confessed to nothing. Our accounts were all hijacked while we were busy being our usual domesticated and tidy selves. They can't prove a thing! :)

Idanotion try not to strech yourself too much. Remember our mantra, baby steps . Also I find that sometimes I wil start a room and go off and get side tracked by something else. In saying that your doing yourself proud.

In the news letter eh!. Were stars!.lol.

Buddingblonde I have a confession to make. I had thought that my house was in reality fine, but it took me until this weekend when we had friends staying over (EEEK!) to look at my house through their eyes (two showers out of action and only the bath working), to make me realise that my house is a total bombsite.

So I need to sort out the shower (ensuite first as it is smaller - hopefully cheaper) and I MUST get on top of it all. How do I start - where do I begin? I finally admit that I NEED help. xxx
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

Esmf start one room at a time. Take three boxes in. One box throw out stuff, one box keep and one box charity. Works for me. When tidy clean.

Start with something small, not with a whole room like I did :o (unless it's a small room without too much clutter, like the bathroom for example). You will get there, it takes a while. It took me ages to start seeing a little light at the end of the tunnel. It's still far way, but I know I'm making my way toward it :)

Holly Molly lovely messies, you've been so good this weekend! I have to say, the good weather is helping :)

Here, pristine kitchen and bathroom, and OH even re-did the bathroom seals!

Bedroom still clutter-free, but it needs scrubbing and dusting. The carpet is very old anyway, and we can't change it as we rent :( But I can still vacuum clean like crazy. I'm thinking of renting a rug doctor for a day and do the carpet throughout the house. But before that...

I HAVE TO CLEAR THE LOUNGE! I really find it overwhelming all this carp I have in the lounge. Over-flow of de-cluttering and clutter that has been here for the past two years :o:o Oh well, baby steps :D
  • Well I did clear the kitchen table, put out washing, made tea and did dishes!! Am planning what to do tomorrow. Think that's enough for today, I've a reputation to keep up!!!

Have now finished turning husband's shirt into a short sleeved version. 'New Improved Me' took about four days to get round to this, and snipped the cuff buttons from the offcuts for spares, putting the buttons in the button jar and throwing the offcuts away. 'Old Me' would have taken eighteen months or so to get round to the job (if ever...) and kept the offcuts in their entirety 'in case they come in handy'. Offcuts would have vanished forgotten into the middle of a rag pile never to be seen again, and because the buttons would still have been attached to them I would be complaining some months later after going through the button jar that I hadn't got a spare. This thread is in danger of creating Reformed Characters of us all :)

As Icelandic Queen said in the post above: what about our reputations? :rotfl:

I did some chocolate mousse and a loaf of bread. The old me with a messy kitchen wouldn't have bothered and would have gone to the village shop to get a dessert to eat for tonight :o:o:o

Can I ask you all a question? How often do you change your bed sheets and your bathroom towels? Some people say every week, some say once a fortnight...
