It was only supposed to be one day but they rang him and asked him to go in the day after so he was really hopeful but never heard anything after.

I've just remembered I stripped my bed and haven't made it yet, wish I hadn't done it now but it will be nice to get into later :)

  • Good Morning !

It`s a beautiful drying day, but I`m so up-to-date with laundry that I`ve nothing to wash and put outside. I bet there`ll be a sudden mountain of stuff as soon as we get another rainy spell.
    I have 2 MUST do`s for today-
Nip to Morrisons to use my £10 off £40 voucher.
Slop some colour on my hair again. (We`re going out for a meal with some of OH`s ex colleagues tomorrow evening, so I can`t put off the dreaded hair task any longer!)
House-wise, Henry is still upstairs and I`ve just used rubber broom in LR & kitchen as I cba to do bedroom then carry henry downstairs. Might do this later on.
Dear old Dafty dog seems to be a bit more lively, has wandered down the garden a few times, further than she has done for ages and seems to be finding the step in and out of the back door a lot easier. She`s a great advert for daily pilchards!
(Dibuzz, I`m still keeping fingers crossed for your DS.)
    Right, off to Mr M`s.....

He's not heard anything yet but still got everything crossed.
Yesterday I emptied his car out so he could take it for its MOT, there are 2 binbags full of all sorts of stuff from clothes to footballs to rubbish. He will get an extra 5 mpg if he leaves it out but I've told him it's all in the bin if he doesn't shift it today.
I've been to see my PWP this morning, he's given me a few challenges to do before next week and some breathing exercises to hopefully help me do them.
I don't think I will ever run out of washing :(

    Happy Birthday :)

I decided to do some of my "homework" from this morning.
I had to go out and buy a puzzle book (sounds so stupid when I write it down) and go out for a drive so did both at the same time, not sure if that's cheating though.
I went onto the M6 and turned round at Warrington then called at Asda coming back, didn't expect the motorway to be so busy but it was ok.
Son has an interview next week for Burger King, he'd prefer the UU one but will take anything at the moment.

    Happy birthday pollypenny :bdaycake:

Dibuzz, well done on tackling some of your challenges, I don't think combing them was cheating just good planning.

My plans for today are tackle the house, think I need to be more focused on specifics if I want to see any progress.

    Happy Birthday pollypenny.

Well done for getting out and about doing your homework Dibuzz.

For some reason the first thing I did after breakfast this morning was clean the top of the kitchen cupboards and the extractor. I don't know why I felt the urge to do it but there you go! I've done a few other bits and pieces and will just carry on doing small things throughout the day. i don't want to start something big just before a weekend of nothing but relaxation.

    Hope everyone is doing well.
  • Belated Happy Birthday Pollypenny!

Dibuzz, I`m wondering why a puzzle book??? Are you supposed to do the puzzles as well?

I took a few more bits to CS this morning, and found a nice little CD/tape cassette storage shelf thing, £2.99 and just what I was after. Called in farmshop on the way back, for some fruit & veg...it was like a swarm of locusts had been there!
And the roads are really busy, too, like the bank holiday rush has started already.
Typically, the weather has turned dull & gloomy here, but we weren`t planning anything except the meal out this evening then a quiet weekend.

Dibuzz, are you setting yourself driving challenges?

I am doing that, as I have become a nervous passenger, let alone nervous driver.

I only had a mile journey to work, so I've got out of the habit. And OH is the sort who tells me when to change gear, do I hate driving with him.

We have two cars at the moment. I know I should sell mine, but that would be a death knell, I think.

My PWP is giving me things to do that I'm not comfortable doing. Leaving the house and going into shops are 2 of them, it's not the actual driving I have a problem with but he suggested I go out for a drive as it's something I enjoyed when I was younger. It's just to get me going out.

    I never asked that :rotfl:
He just suggested a puzzle book because I said I liked doing them.

It's been dull and cold here today, I'm hoping it's not going to stay like this over the weekend.
