Whatever you manage today is a bonus - I am trying to tell myself this!!0 -
Decided to tackle the problem at source and brushed the dog extra hard as she's moulting. OMG I could knit a Great Dane :rotfl:
Very inspiring to talk to people who have my piecemeal approach to housework and can understand why it doesn't get done. I really have to steel myself to do the ironing, and it will only get done if I put some REALLY LOUD rock music on to take my mind off what I am doing.
Bedroom is in the process of sorting, laundry on, now have to cook dinner (no idea what but will involve potatoes, carrots and gravy).
All power to everyone - we are all in this together. :T0 -

I got fed up with ebay as I had piles and piles of stuff awaiting ebay that I ended up charity shopping it and freecycling. I have two big black bags full already and I am planning on doing some more tonight but I do not know what tasks to do - I have big jobs to do but I dont want to start anything and not complete it.0 -
I have not done much today, but I did clean the bathroom, I have had a new shower curtain waiting to go up, so that's done now
I took all the extra bottles of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc. and put them in a basket in the cupboard in the hall, and they will need to finish the ones which are out before they get a new one (no one will bother to look for them anyway) I still have to clean the floor, which I will do in a minute.
Bargainbunny, autism is not an excuse, use his particular eccentricities to your advantage, whether its pairing socks or cleaning tiles because he has good attention to detail, I am sure you will find something he can, and will enjoy, doing. Mine is vacuuming, my 11 year old has Asperger's and does the vaccuuming, puts the rubbish out and takes the washing upstairs for me. He's not the most thorough in the world, but its his job and that's that. He also puts the clean dishes away. Ds2 who is almost 9 also vaccuums (bigs brother does the stairs, he does the flat) They have been doing it for two years now. As for the ironing, don't do it!!! I don't iron unless absolutely essential, unless I am feeling crazy. When I do a washing, it comes out, gets folded and stacked flat for an hour or so before going on the horse. If it is going outside I don't bother, it goes straight out, and if it goes in the dryer, it goes straight into the drawers afterwards folded flat. Hey Jackie - that sounds like something I could do with - I dont have a lot of storage space but OH has started half a dozen dif body sprays - will confiscate the open ones and leave one to be used to empty!
I am about to do the dishes and put another washing on (this is to save doing hunners at the weekend) and I will also hoover through. No more windows for me - shoulder is sore from yesterdays attempt (and in day light it isnt that great!!)0 -
At least you tried
and actually, the bathroom clearout came from your sorting out your makeup bag last night

I watch "Hoarders" on a Tuesday night - it is uncomfortable viewing as it is a little close to home - no, I'm not that bad - but I so easily could be

I actually bought a spinning wheel and learnt how to spin the combings from my dogs (I have 11 at the moment) - but unfortunately I don't know how to knit :rotfl:."Men are generally more careful of the breed(ing) of their horses and dogs than of their children" - William Penn 1644-1718
