For anyone with wide feet who can't usually get fitflops to fit, you might be interested to know that they've brought out a new design with adjustable straps called Hooper.
I've just got myself a pair in toffee tan and they are fab, they look great and fit perfectly.
They are pricey being a new design so not very MSE, but might be one to look out for in the sales after summer.0 -
Hi All,
Hope you don't mind me asking, has anyone got the Tall Leather Superboot by Fit Flop? Are they reasonably snug around the calf or is there some give? I only ask because I often have problems finding calf and knee-high boots to fit as I have quite wide calves. I was looking at getting a pair of the tall leather superboots as some are on sale at the moment in some places online ready for the winter. But I've not found anywhere in our town that has sold them so haven't been able to try any on for size. I don't want to get them if they're going to be too tight and won't pull up properly. I don't think there will be any problem with the fit of them around my feet and toes as I know they're often wider in that area than most boots purely because of the design.
I'm in Manchester next week so will have a look then to try and find somewhere that sells them, but if anyone else has any experience with these boots I'd be greatful for any feedback?
In relation to the original post, I've got a pair of Walkstar III's that I love! Again I don't see much affect on toning muscles (although when they were new especially and walking in them for any length of time I would get muscle twitches which suggested they were doing something). I did have some problems with them at the beginning where they were rubbing the insides of two of my toes, and on closer inspection there was a rough edge where the material was sewn to the toe post. I used a pair of nail clippers and oh-so-carefully trimmed a little of the excess material off. I had no problems from then on. I wouldn't advise anyone to try this on theirs though as I realise how close I was to the stitching and it could have gone sooooo wrong.
I know someone else who has had the same problem with their Walk-star III's, But others who have different styles don't experience it.
It's obviously isolated to that one style and perhaps not even all of them.
I would definately recommend fit flops, It was practically the only thing I wore on my feet last year apart from my gym shoes, and am looking to get another pair of sandles this year, and of course some boots for the winter. I used to get nerve pain in my feet all the time, mainly caused by tight fitting shoes (Another problem with having Wide feet!) but it didn't seem to help wearing ballerina style shoes and boots with very little sole! Obviously there's no problem like that with the fitflops they're brilliant!
Anyway, as I say, any feedback on the fit of the superboots would be brill.
Thanks loads.

I LOVE my Fit Flops. I bought my first pair this time last year and I have worn them constantly. If not outside during the winter I've worn them round the house (that is when my 13 yr old daughter isn't trying to get them off me!) I am now looking at buying another pair, not sure which ones yet but I will have another pair soon. They are incredibly comfortable, I've never had any problems with them since the second I put them on my feet.£2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.0

I love my fit flops. I have pain in my ankles, feet & toes from arthritis - I found they reduce my pain & I can walk further when I wear them. I have the ankle length boots & several pairs of the flip flop styles.0
