    Search the board or google

I hope you have not missed £12.12 through TCB.

Grumbler, thanks for all your help. I've found several sellers (with excellent feedback) who will send me the code for a couple of quid.
Is this ok for me to do? Can I do any harm if I use one of these reputable sellers? I assume I might as well use the £10 from Orange first.
Thanks for your patience. Its difficult for us old timers to come to grips with modern technology.

No. You can do if for free

I don't have this phone. There is loads of info on this board and a special thread on OSF.

Orange Sanfrancisco - unlock - then what?
    Orange San Francisco on PAYG
I assume I might as well use the £10 from Orange first.
I think you can sell the sim on e-bay for about £8.

Grumbler, many thanks for all the help. Please excuse my ignorance. The phone is coming Friday. If I unlock it right away can I then use any of my sims? I've got some left on my 02, plus all my contacts and I've sent for a Giffgaff sim. So I'll have 3 sims, 2 with credit on. I'll charge up the Giffgaff when I've exhausted the others if that will work.
What's the best way to transfer contacts from my 02 sim to the Giffgaff sim?
Thanks again and thanks for all the useful links.

Yes, this is what unlocking means.

This depends on your old phone. OSF, like any android, can be synchronised with a PC in different ways (with gmail account or with Outlook).
A simple yet universal way is to use some sim-card reader/backup (very cheap small device)

Also (am not sure) you can put your old sim into OSF and save the contacts to the memory. Then put the new sim instead and save the contacts to the sim if you wish.

Also, when using old sim(s) make sure that mobile internet is switched off. Otherwise, if it is available on that tariff, but not included, the phone will use it at your cost.

I'm looking at this tarrif as well.
Only ever had payg before but my phone has just died.
200 mins and 200 txts and a phone for £12 pm just seems too good to be true.
    Am I missing something?
Are the 200 mins to any network?
    Thanks for any help.

Not really because you pay £288 in total while an unlocked phone is available for £130+£10 (minus quidco/TCB).

Also, for £15 p.m. you can get a much better Desire from p4u (not sure about the tariff; £45.45 TCB cashback).
  • Order two of these Wildfire Contracts on Saturday via CPW using TCB, but the TCB has tracked at £50.50 (new contract mobile) rather than the £55.55 (talkmobile unlimited internet contract).

Still good to have £50 cashback for each contract, but a pain to not have it track at the correct rate which is 10% more...

Phones brilliant though - Mum and Dad both learning how to use them and enjoying doing so!

Thank OP for the spot on this deal :-)

Mention your issue on the TCB forums on their website. A representative will explain it to you and/or correct it. It could be that all phone contracts initially track at £50.50 and the talkmobile ones are uplifted at the 'confirmed' stage.
