Whats the current recipe your using? I'm tempted to try lard this year too.0

Trex alone or if I'm running short 50/50 with butter0

Has anyone experimented with butter rather than Trex? I usually have unsalted butter in, but Trex isn’t something I usually buy.Every act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

Well I'm here again too, always make a visit to this thread coming up to Christmas, even though I have written the recipe down!
Other half has entered 'our' mince pies into a 'mince-off' next week!
Thank you again to Betty for her recipe, and thank you for posting it here!3 -
Can you believe it was 14 years ago? Betty's recipe has been enjoyed by so many people. Its is such a pleasure to know it is still loved. Let us know how you get on.1

I make this pastry every year. Went to Morrisons today to get the trex but they don't seem to stock it now! Has anyone seen it in one of the other stores recently please?
(I'm just a bit cautious about going in and out all the stores looking for it with covid around I'd prefer to do a quick 'nip in and out' of a place that stocks iif I could) I hope they still manufacture it! The only thing I could find was 'crisp and dry' which said it could be used for baking, but I was dubious about trying anything else but trex.1
