opened a non isa account yesterday, previous post

"Anyone who has already opened one of these accounts has 20 days to add further funds."

just spoke to customer service who said they knew nothing about the 20 days and any money sent might be returned

If you have already made an application, or opened an account you will be able to deposit funds in the usual manner.

If you have opened an account and you have obtained a reference number I think it likely that your deposit will be accepted if you send it now.

At the end of the online application procedure I was told that I had 20 days to fund the account. (Customer Services confirmed this on the phone today.)

This was on the email they sent me when i applied, even though i had already been told on the phone 28 days to fund, so rang again to query and i was told by support that there is 28 days before the account will close, due to no funds appearing, they also said they would be looking at the content of the email they sent out............

Anyone know if Newcastle will accept transfers from an account already held with them?

My Balance Builder ISA "matures" in June and will need to be moved because the rate drops. Their Premier ISA is looking good, but not sure about the transfers which says something about from other providers.

It would seem perverse to lose me as a customer for the sake of not allowing a transfer between their own products..... ;)

I have just come off the phone to Newcastle BS and the info from Ashley is;-
The Premier Bond was withdrawn, (but not closed), yesterday, anyone who applied online before withdrawal of bond and has an email ref number, and anyone who applied before closure and a welcome pack issued has 20 WORKING days to fund the account.

    Although my confirmation e-mail says;-
"As you may not have chosen to fund your account during your application, you will need to fund your account within 20 days of submitting your application in one of the following ways:"

    I opened without funding.

Newcastle geo phone number for anyone who wants to confirm this is 01912 442000.

To which account are you referring?

The Newcastle FRISA & Bond have the same condition (number 5):

I was referring to the 5 year bond - the condition you quote suggests I can add to it, so thanks for that.

For a short period of time, judging by the above posts.
