e2save cheque back claim declined

• I have got 2 phones with e2save on 12 months free. Basically, i did not check their documentation. I was about to send my 4th bill to them and realised I should have sent third one, bizarrely to comply with T&Cs. I had also had problems with CPW o2 billing. So I sent a letter to e2save complaints saying o2 had not been sending my bills so could not send them in the 30 days. Anyway got my cheques.

Advice to anyone buying from e2save:

1) Make sure you send the right bills. Use their documentation to check or on the web to make sure. Their terms are restrictive. You need to be very organised.
2) I have been sending my claims to both Dunstable and Wednesbury address by signed for delivery. Also, I have faxed them as well. If one is not signed for then claim off the Royal Mail. I think you get 6 2nd Class stamps compensation to offset this cost.
3) Check it has been delivered using Royal Mail Website.
4) Call customer service to check it has been received and being processed within 30 days period in the T&Cs. From my experience, if not signed for they will take your royal mail tracking number (They check the royal mail website) and will process the claim.
5) From my experience, they will also send out cheques for a lower amount and hope that you will not chase up the difference. You need call the cashback line. They will say that the computers say this amount. Stand your ground.

Incidentally, I have had every claim paid and have had 5 contracts from e2save. My most recent claim was paid with amazing efficiency, I had the cheques with 10 days from of claim being received by them. Unfortunately, it takes some effort. However, they are more financially stable than alot of the mobile phone websites. If you want an easy life then do not buy from e2save!
Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!

the e2save website still has Wednesbury address while the chequeback form has a Dunstable address.
I sent them the correct bill but got refused as it was "too early" - called up and they couldnt understand why so they CSA sent a email to the claims dept. Will have to wait again now
• I have just had similar problem, except they said they never received my claim even though it was sent signed for first class - I used the PO Box 4311, LU6 9BJ address from the back of the coupon. Apparantly as they sign for mail in bulk, they have no record of separate claims - doh! However, as mentioned previously in this thread there is another address posted on their redemption section of the website - so which one is right? Is this what is causing the confusion?

I am currently awaiting a response after having to send emailed copy of my bill. Will let you know result.

Never mind what THEY tell you. If it DID track so what? If it didn't you should have picked that up straight away and re-sent. After that it's a question of whether they want to pay before or after being sued.
• Hi can any one help me out to e2save cashback court issue.

I have a redemption of £108. i'd sent my airtime bill and cashback claim as per the contract on the end of 4th month. But they rejected my claim as i've moved my house in between. So address mismatch between data base and airtime bill.

Actually i've read in terms and conditions that i need inform any address change by e-mail to addresschange@e2save.com or something similar id.

I've done it 5-6 days before i post my claim in recorded delivery. So from my side i've done as i am supposed to.

I rang up many times their customer support team but no sign of response. Its just a waste of money on 0870..

I've claimed through money claim online. My claim was issued to them. they had 14 days to reply. Now they've acknoledged my claim and e2save solicitor MASON will be defending. They have 14 more days to file their defence.

I need to know am i right what i did? Do any one feel i have flaws legally with this issue. Also if suppose, can i withdraw my claim if i couldn't afford the expenses for attending hearings...

Thanks for your valuable advice...

You don't have to pursue the matter to a hearing if you don't want to.

You can await their defence and see what they have to say.

sorry if this isn't much help but instead of calling them using the 0870 try calling carphoneware house on 02088965000 and asking for the cashback claim thats what I do. I also moved home but had no such queries as because I got no reply from that email address I called and changed my add on the phone. I also went into branch with proof of my new address as instructed by o2 who i have the contract with. Goodluck. I can't see that u r wrong, hope you have all our emails in your sent folder.
• thanks for advice. I am quite worried as this is new to take legal actions against a firm. anyway i have the proof of my recorded delivery. then i have the proof of e-mail asking to change address.

actually when i contact the service they said they will be sending the cheque if i send them a proof of e-mail and a copy of the same bill ..i did it..she asked me to send by e-mail..but she the hell is not responding. its been 3 weeks now...over phone she said there is no reason to decline.

anyhow i will wait until i get a defence form. i am planning to get advice from citizens advice bureau as well. If it seems i will win if i proceed furher, i may go ahead.. it all depends on the further expenses of court dealings so i want to be sure before going ahead.

It was a bit support from krissy and quentin replies. Thanks for helping.

All this is common. Proof that they received your change of address email and you're home and dry. Otherwise it's more risky but a fair chance you'd convince the judge. As for their defence; if they know they haven't a leg to stand on they call and settle at the last minute. Don't worry about non-reply of information requested - that's totally normal for them too. IF you got through AGAIN by phone they'd ask you to send it again... and again.... the fact they asked and then ignored you will only help your case IF it gets to court, which I doubt (I do have some experience on this one to!).
• do you think i am in a weak side. i've sent address change request by gmail..and it is in my sent folder. twice they asked me to send it by e-mail to one of their staff. i know her mail address and name. i've a proof of that too.

only thing i am worrying is if they claim they didn't receive my address change e-mail.. what shall i do? we can't check their inbox.. gmail normally issues non delivery report if it is not delivered.

so do you think am i taking risk...
