    Hi everyone.
Just a quick pop in on my break (on a split shift as usual!) but today is extra work and all the pennies count at the moment. Hugs to those that need them and congratulations to Ixia.

    Today I have:
Washing machine on before I went out to work this morning and now out drying on the line.
    Breakfast and lunch from house.
    Been to work!

    I will:
Go back to work and drive carefully to stretch the last of my petrol.
Take tea with me to avoid chippy or shop.
    Post Ebay parcels.

Well i`m gutted because i`m really tired and am gonna have to have a nap before I go back out to work at 5, hate having to do this on such a nice sunny day but better that being exhausted later. Lie in tomorrow though.
  • perni if you look at the ingredients in the basic & more expensive stuff its all exactly the same! pasta is pasta is pasta is pasta! total rip off...

ok feeling like such a drama queen soz don't mean to be, just say whatever is on my mind at that moment! And its all been reversed now so that's that little drama over with... what will it be tomorrow??? :rotfl:

Am sitting in front of the bay window basking in the sun with a glass of vino mmmmmm

I think I just buy the standard brand out of habit now - for some reason for pasta I just grab the massive standard tesco bag...whereas most items I am careful about checking it's the cheapest at an "acceptable" brand level (for example I'm happy to buy tesco's own pasta, but I much prefer the Hertz frankfurters, I CAN tell a difference there).

Must get myself into better habits & check EVERYTHING!

I'll start with this pasta ;) I did buy the Tesco value lasagne sheets last time & didn't notice a difference, so the normal pasta must be the same.

Hi, I am new to posting on these types of threads, have been quite shy but I feel I really need a kick up the backside to sort myself out so am going to try and post more often to give myself a much needed boost!

    Today I have:
Driven to work sensibly to save petrol!
    Charged my phone at work
    Had free coffee at work
Posted a letter to a debt collection company with a F&F offer
Bought some cheap crisps for lunchboxes at cheapy shop on high street (10p for a 50g bag) :T
    Done some photocopying at work
Got some petrol at £1.30 a litre
Had home-made sandwiches and squash for lunch
Downloaded some free MP3's from amazon
Tonight I will make dinner with stuff from the freezer, take the dog for a walk & chill out

Hope these are the kind of things I should be putting on here, sorry if not! :o

Regarding the value pasta, I was a dyed in the wool De Cecco eater until I had my LBM - paying something in the region of £1.50 a bag for pasta

I think it all depends what you do with it, to be honest. Since the LBM, I have tried all sorts, from Sainsburys Basics lasagne sheets to Asda Smart Price penne. Our default pasta is Morrison's own, and it's absolutely fine. In fact the organic lasagne sheets (cheaper than non-organic) are fab. I usually cook cheaper pasta for slightly less time than suggested on the packet - I find if I cook it to instructions, it goes too far past al dente for my taste ;)

Anyway, for 9p a bag, both Tesco and Asda are great bargains - IF you can find them ;)

Welcome a.j.m. - hope you get as much out of this daily thread as I have :D

And DNMS - you've gone and made me open a bottle of wine now, to drink in the garden. Cheers  (we need a wine drinking smiley)

Getting free tights/socks from the one day only offer that's on the Freebies (no spend) board. Even postage comes included if you get the right ones. ;)
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(
