Some lovely good news from you all too - so lets all try to stay positive.

A lovely day here in Manc so far so my plans for the day....
    • Been to docs for check up and repeat prescription - all ok
    • Walk dog to chemist to get prescription
    • Checked bank - nothing new
    • Stick to diet - been wavering a bit - not naughty stuff but too much stuff, need to control this again
    • Do one set of marking (actually managed this yesterday)
    • Maybe do a load of washing and dry naturally
    • Finalise shopping list for tomorrow - pray that Mr T vouchers arrive!
    • Change the bed
    • Try not to spend anything
That's all for today so far..... hope everyone has a good day. xxx

hi everyone....miss me yesterday? Meeting from hell in the morning as a couple of people really dislike each other and resulted in a bit of a slanging match and then a really funny meeting in the afternoon. Anyone seen the episode of friends where Joey is sitting with his friends and doesnt have a clue what they are talking about but tries to laugh along with them .... well thats me. The guys are all so brainy and make jokes about bacteria and parasites which just go WAY over my head.
Woh, sorry to hear about the fraud - was it someone you know that you gave out your security info? I can def understand how you would feel sad! Sorry to also hear about job woes.
Hooray for peter kay, being debt free and sunny days

Today is my last day in for a week off and plan to have a massive clear out and tidy up this afternoon so came dressed in tracky bottoms and a t-shirt. I feel a rebel! In office myself today which is great too as everyone else on holidays. Means its nice and relaxing and can focus on a couple of big tasks too.

    - check banking - v poor, forgot to keep money aside for vet visit on monday so might be a bit tight.
    - got £5 back after putting into a collection for a fried. £10 still to come in
    - get lots of work done/cleared up before holiday so I can relax
    - washing tonight on 30 quick then either hang out tomorrow or up over doors. No heating on!
    - email mate as keep missing her calls and too expensive to call back
    - charge mobile and ipod on work comp (last chance for a while)
    - plan what gardening stuff to do next week. V happy that rhubarb is already coming through and looking very healthy this year. Growth on the rasberry bushes too :)

    Wow, busy day for everyone!

Pixie - thanks for starting us off
DNMS - hope the bank stuff gets sorted v. quickly - what a horrible thing to happen :(
Stitchy - hope things begin to improve for you at work
Erme - good luck with the not smoking
La escosesa - enjoy that birthday drink

I'm sure I've missed others I meant to comment on!

I managed to get hold of a free cafetiere at Morrisons this morning - very happy, as it means I can return the one I bought a couple of days ago in JL. I keep popping into Asda to see if I can pick up any of their supercheap value pasta, but everyone else has the same idea - never mind.

OH's salary finally appeared yesterday afternoon, and I moved the money back that I'd covered the small overdraft with. Must make calls to change a couple of direct debit dates so it doesn't happen again.

    Today's list:
    • checked banking - no nasty surprises today :)
    • check for surveys
    • got paid for clinical trial at uni
    • laundry drying in the sun
    • put things away in the shiny new shed (well, not shiny, but very nice)
    • lunch on leftovers
    • homemade pizza, garlic bread and coleslaw for dinner
    • just off to dr for some test results
    • really ought to tackle ironing, but the weather might tempt me too much!

That's my lot for the day - hope you all have a good day and a fab weekend :D

Hello everyone, would like to join the chat as I am having a quiet Friday:

Kevstanley: since Tesco put the price of their pasta to 9p I can't find any either!

I'm not brilliant at the little things to be honest, but I'm trying to keep positive and I think I should try and look for positive things I have done each day.

    1. Checked online banking - no change.
    2. Started new expenses form 45p per mile from now on.
    3. Checked cashback site - waiting for 34.90 to become payable
    4. Trying to go up and downstairs at work as much as possible.
    5. Had a little walk around the block.
    6. Found a new calorie counting/ exercise website - free! - make sure to log in tonight after dinner/ exercise
    7. Home made lunch - not to buy any extra food
    8. Control my portions when cooking dinner, using things from the freezer
    9. 20 mins Wii Fit/ Biggest Loser
    10. 30 mins exercise bike
    11. No heating on
    12. Still got £7.18 Tesco vouchers for when we run out of stuff
    13. Try to do a reasonable amount of walking at lunchtime
    14. V. low on petrol so get some on way home to get Tesco points and not at my expensive local petrol station.

Ixia - Well done!!! :T That is brilliant, & gives me some hope :o You must be so proud of yourself, what will you do with the extra money that's not going to repayments now?
Mogchops - Glad you had a great trip!
    Karb - Enjoy Peter Kay
I think he had to ask because of me bursting into tears on Monday ;)

He's offered to take me off reception but that wouldn't be fair on the other administrators. Basically there's nothing we can do because I can't afford to go down to a two day week, at least until my loan is paid off in September.

If my business took off I could use that as an excuse, but I need some orders to roll in first. Any takers???? :D

Ooh yes, I'd forgotten about that :o Sorry. Perhaps you could make a little white lie about your business? No one would know...surely? Except us :D When I am debt free I will be very interested! Unfortunately until then I'd only be digging myself deeper, & I mustn't do that.

Wow!!! Does it taste any different to the more expensive stuff? We get the standard tesco brand at the moment, but at 9p a bag that's a massive saving we could be making there...
