When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :D

Goood morning everyone....and woop de woop, it's Friiiiidaaaaaay:beer::beer: (Even more exciting for me, it's the the last day of term:T)
Nothing exciting happening here today, I am going out for lunch though, just a coke and a sarnie but nice for a change;) No not an NSD but it won't cost any more than a fiver.

Sun is shining, I'm feeling less rough than in the last few days (poor insides don't agree with new tablets:():( and I have 2 weeks off after today - gotta be a reason to sparkle eh?!
Right, time to get my list down:
  • check banking
  • chack onepoll - seem to be screened out of all of their surveys now:(
  • packed lunch for dd2
  • heating off
  • Meal from plan tonight - checken curry
  • take meat out of freezer
  • towels on washing line
  • LSD - just buy lunch
  • free cuppas at work
  • enjoy the sun after work:T
Ok, thats my lot - have a great day everyone:j:j
I really need to sort out a new signature!

    • VSP transfer - now over £100 - saving for weddings we've got coming up :D
    • Take some £2s from stash to buy a drink at lunch :o 'Need' to go to the pub at lunch for my bday... Oh well, doesn't happen v often
    • HM sandwich for lunch
    • Walking
    • Free cuppa
    • Bit of voluntary work??? Write a letter if time.
    • Cash in winning lotto ticket - £10 :p

Have a great Friday y'all xx
  • hello ladies :wave:hello all the lovely ladies & Karb to follow (Karb what is it you do for work that you travel so much?)

Yay its Friday & I have the day off :j (am working tomorrow but will cross that bridge when I come to it!) I have sad news tho - I was the victim of internet fruad yesterday and my accounts have been clean wiped out :( actually I'm more :(. I will get the money back but next week. I need to contact credit fraud company today to get a fruad referrence put on my file in case the peson tries to steal my identity rather than just wipe my bank acc - I was sooooooo stupid and gave away all of my security details :o:( I feel really violated actually...

    Anyway so that! Also:
    • go for a run
    • go through fridge - make sure nothing is going to go off
    • eat left overs for tea/lunch
    • check for surveys
    • do some housework
    • plant some seeds & do some gardening
    • maybe go out for a drink tonight with oh - its been soooooooo long...
unfortunately because of the fruad I can't check my banking or do my VSP...

Karb congrats on the 100 days :j

Good morning all, and thanks to pixie for starting the thread today.

I had a meeting with my boss yesterday regarding how I feel about the job. I told him I'd like to drop the two admin days and just do the accounts and payroll, but I can't afford to lose any money :o I think he was shocked at how much I hate the job and said I always appear happy. Yes mate, I put on a professional facade!!

    Anyhow, list so far:
    • checked banking - still healthy :)
    • checked for surveys
    • made a lunch to take to work
    • fed and watered the chickens
    • boxed half a dozen eggs to sell
    I will also:
    • ride bike to work as it uses less fuel and it's a lovely day
    • free drinks at work
    • get paid for eggs
    • charge mobile at work for the weekend
    • read at lunchtime to avoid the shops
    • dinner from stores
    • have an NSD
Looking forward to a weekend in the garden and allotment :D

Have a good day folks, stitchy x
