This IS a vent!!
DABS have been rubbish, a couple of weeks ago I made an order, The item was 'in stock' but shock, horror I didn't get it.
I rang the "customer services" department, and I was on hold, "being important to them"! for a total of 2 1/2 hours on an 0870 number which I think is about 10 pounds.
after complaining on thier forum, amongst many other complainers, I might add. I was told that my item that WAS in stock is now OUT OF STOCK.
I have recieved an email now telling me that the item is discontinued and they won't get any more. however surprisingly I CAN get them from the manufacturer, from Amazon and various other places.
I'm sick of their "don't give a damn" attitude.
I for one won't be shopping with them again, even if they do survive this mess.

Yes dabs.com are rubbish!
Been waiting almost 2 months for a refund from these cowboys. No phone support and countless un-answered e-mails. They must be going out of business. That or George Osborne's cuts has let all the 'customer care' staff go!
Whoops....Did I say care?:mad:0 -
The vent continues.
A little over 24 hours ago I posted this message to the Dabs forum:
Why is everyone from Dabs ignoring us?
Why is everyone from Dabs ignoring us? Is it because they are embarrassed? Ashamed?
Why won’t you give us some answers about your despicable behaviour? Or even mention your dire customer service policy. How about, how do we get the money back that we have wasted phoning customer services because of YOUR mistakes?
ANYTHING TO SAY??
There has been no answer from Dabs, in fact there has been no answer to many of the questions put by many of the unhappy customers posting on their forum.
I have tried but I am unable to post a link to the Dabs forum, I'm sure you can all find it if you want to see the full story.

If you ever feel the urge to ring them again, SayNo To0870 tells us that 01942 853900 is an equally good number.I rang the "customer services" department, and I was on hold, "being important to them"! for a total of 2 1/2 hours on an 0870 number which I think is about 10 pounds.0 -

"long distance call"?Thanks for that info. I don't think it would have done me any good as their 'customer services' are only open during the day 9 to 5 so would be a long distance call anyway.
I think you'll find that all calls within UK for a geographic number are the same price these days.0 -
Yes, sorry I mean normal call rate, which is 7p a minute anyway0

Well here we go, another week of problems0

Similar story from me..
Ordered a part from Dabs, it arrived, was DOA.
I sent it back and.. heard nothing.
Have spent hours and hours on the phone trying to get through to customer services. When I did, it transpired that my return had been sat in a corner of their warehouse ever since. Was told that because of all the problems they'd had with their back office upgrade, I'd just get a refund. So I bought a replacement part elsewhere..
A couple of hours later, they sent me out a replacement instead.
This was 'cancelled' but now the parcel is lost in some DHL limbo, so they won't / can't be arsed to refund me.
I can't get through on the phone and am refusing to rack up any more 0870 charges trying. Posting on the forum produces no response other than from many other people in the same boat and from the 'odd' Dabs sympathizer blindly insisting that we're actually very rare cases. (Except that the phone lines are jammed with other rare cases).
Will give it another couple of days then will just report the transaction as fraudulent with my cc company.0 -
It's a shame, because DABS used to be a really good company when they were relatively small and unknown. Seemed to go downhill rapidly when BT got involved.
Hope you all get your problems sorted soon!"The most desirable trait of the internet is the ability to attribute quotes to anyone."

Well, I'm STILL trying to get my out of pocket expenses back from Dabs. i.e. The cost of my phone calls and some compensation for my time. Basically they just totally ignore my requests. Where do I stand? I know it’s only a small amount by why should I let them get away with it!0
