My turn now  . I haven't even had time to sort this one out properly.

Ordered 3 dressing up outfits on a buy 3 for 2 promotion, card was charged. First 2 outfits turned up, 3rd (conveniently the "free item") didn't arrive. Was promised item would be delivered a further 2 times, still didn't arrive. Pause for breath ......Check order status online to find that 3rd dress is now out of stock. Call customer services who say there is nothing they can do! Can't refund me as item was free. I ask them to refund me for one of the other dresses, advisor says no! But as a gesture of goodwill, will refund me for 2 hotwater bottles at a grand total of £6.30.

Next there is me on the phone trying to explin to Mr Customer services man some basic mathematics...

I order 3 dresses at a total cost of £30
Therefore each dress is worth £10
Third dress doesn't arrive, means that I am out of pocket by one dress or £10
Offer of £6.30 refund gesture means that I am out of pocket by £3.70 thanks to their mistake. But this guy still wouldn't budge.

Unsure about what to do next TBH :o

Ah right. That puts a stop to that one then. Maybe have a word with your loca Trading Standards or with Consumer Direct to see if there is anything that they can suggest. Maybe see if the local Woolies store manager will do anything if not already done so.

Though just a quick thought - if you thought you paid when you picked up the item how come you gave them your card details?

Because you can't sign up without adding one! Should have seen the warning sign there really.

Me neither! I went to the store today and picked the DVD up without a problem. I no trouble getting the refund either. I think they need to re-think the stuff behind the scenes of the website.

  • grrrrrr.....i having major problems with woolworths online aswell,

i placed an order with them back in october for my childrens xmas pressies
on of which is my daughters main one, money was taken straigt away no messing around i went to the cash point about an hour later to find it gone,
i've been waiting for over a month and a half and my order is still processing, one of my items got listed as ready for dis about a week ago and yet when i looked today it's gone back to processing,
so far i've sent them 3 emails with not one reply and all of the items on my list is instock at my local store.
i have no idea what to do next, what happens if i cancel my order do i get my money back? or will i have to chase that around like a headless chicken aswell.

i will never use them again i honestly thought i might be safe with wollies i've been shopping there for years with not a single problem and now it looks like my daughter will have very little to open on christmas day.

Star Shine you should be able to cancel online by going to your active orders and sending a message. This must be really frustrating for you.
