Ah Freddie...One of the pilgrims is going to have to disagree with you. A very rare event I know as your knowledge and linguistic skills are legendary !
This pilgrim likes the Easycook Basmati rice from ASDA. It doesn't stick on the sides and tastes delicious ([STRIKE]Bit like a young cat)[/STRIKE]. Trouble is the pilgim can't get find it in the local ASDA store;) and is having to take his custom elsewhere into the horrible big city to get his jollies. The wifey don't mind as it means less effort her.;)
Thinking of complaining to Asda CEO. Any advice appreciated !!;):rotfl:0 -

Ours NEVER has risotto rice in stock - it's a constant source of me grumbling while doing the grocery shop.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Smaller bags are more expensive for the same amount. So they make more money that way.
Or, switching the cynicism mode off (a rare occurrence in Tightfisted Towers), if your Morissons is anything like my nearest, it is geared mostly towards the older members of the community, so sell more small packages and servings of food as their main client base can't carry bigger bags home.
Personally, as we eat a silly amount of rice, I tend to get mine from the Oriental supermarket. HUGE bags there, so issues with supply, even for proper Japanese rice - like the Akitakomachi. No shortage of nori or sea vegetables, either.
I wouldn't be panicking just yet, Widelats.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
