Lol ditto Rock_cakes - I still get on with my work but love being able to catch up here! If it was blocked, I wouldn't post everyday I don't think, would be very late if I did anyway & then it sort of defeats the point as this reminds me to do those little things throughout the day.
Happy Birthday for yesterday La Escocesa! How sweet of your OH :)

    Thanks guys :D

Yip, I'd be the same - only usually come on at lunch or quickly before I leave but definitely keeps me in check coming on here ;)

    Not blocked here!

    Today I have/will

Brought lunch from home - no buying from the sandwich trolley
Check on line banking (I had £400 put in yesterday from cashing in my Premium Bonds - bonus as I thought I only had £300 worth!)
    Book car's MOT and service
Find a safe space for the letter from the bank offering 0% balance transfer for 6 months on v rarely used CC (with zero balance). Bill was going to be paid on main CC anyway and paid off in 2 goes, now I can transfer balance after MOT has been paid, spread payments and use spare cash to keep reducing my overdraft.
Sort out next week's meal plan.
Sort out washing & ironing mountain range at home (there's an avalanche threatening!)

    Should keep me busy!

Hi everyone. Hope you are all having a good day. I'm hoping to have a NSD today.

Checked online banking, and my expenses have come through this morning :j, so I've made another payment towards my credit card debt. It's coming towards the end of the 100 day challenge. I'm not sure if I'll actually hit my target, but it'll be close.

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :D

Hope I've done this right...first time starting small things thread on the whoopsie mac :p

    Hi all
I've not been so good at getting on here this week, and I seem to have fallen a little bit of the DFW wagon. It was bonus month and I kinda went a bit mad, so need to rein it in now and get back into the good habits I started last month. I hate living payday to payday and I proved to myself last month that I don't have too, I had money left at the end of the month and paid a big chunk off my credit card with my bonus. So, it's kick up the bum time!
Happy Belated Birthday La E and thanks all for your continued inspiration.

    Today I have/will:

    - bussed in using bus pass
    - will bus home
    - bought brekkie and lunch in
    - coffee made not bought
    - checked pigsback and onepoll
    - need to pack my trousers tonight to return tomorrow to M&S
    - will unpack a box tonight
    - driving lesson tonight too
    - whilst unpacking i will see if there is anything to ebay once we get the internet back at home
    - get ready for ladies pamper night tomorrow night - my friend and I have a stall selling goodies, jewellery, soap and knitted stuff, fingers crossed we do ok!

    That is all for now.
    Happy Thursday xxx
