You enjoying this thread Julieq? :p

Listening to the david gilmour one.

Gavs did a remix of Crazy Diamond in several speeds, I used it for a show some years back. I think this link is the slow one....faster one on his myspace.

Where's Cleaver?....he started his thread then went AWOL.

Did you ever see the guy who played Crazy Diamond in Churchill Square in the 1980s, FC, when it was a concrete monstrosity? He was very good but it was the only thing he ever played.

ha ha...no I didn't as I only connected to Brighton in 98 when we opened the shop.

Copyright issues, don't know of it's true but an artist can sample/remix etc and, as long as it's not for sale or for financial gain, seems to be OK.....but only if the orig artist likes it. Generally they do as it opens up their work to a new audience. He never had an issue with it but it was never sold....just available for free to nayone who likes it in internet land.

But you should really listen to the whole album on a really good stereo. Stunning.

This is Ad's idea really. With house prices going nowhere in either direction, Ad thought it'd be a nice idea to discuss music instead. And he has a point - discussing house prices is dull, dull, dull, whereas music is a beautiful thing.

Erm, so, music then. Great, innit?

I must have a head for things as I quite like Portishead and Radiohead ;)

You have got to admire some of the old classics like Queen.

Maybe I'm getting old, but music used to be timeless and it's not so nowadays
