Bloomin' heck. That post has to be thanked, not least for the fact that it must have taken you about two hours to put together. I still don't know how to do the links with the name rather than the full URL after all these years (does the we're not worthy sign to 1984). I would thank you several more times for the effort, but unfortunately I'm not a silverbug and don't have 20 or so AEs to fall back on.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Gosh 1984.....you really got into the thread in the end
Mind you, I still haven't forgiven you for the link of ELO E-ee-evil Woman...danga langa alanga an.
It's still rears up now and again into my head and stays there. 0-0
Must have been one of those 'recipe' type songs (like Abba and Elton John) that loops into the head and sticks there.0 -
As this is an OT thread I reckon there is no reason I shouldn't go off thread topic.
I posted a couple of songs but really it was the albums rather than the specific singles I was commending because I think in albums - I have only ever bought a couple of singles n my life when I was in young teens - otherwise I see the basic unit of music as the album not the song - and no compilation albums do not do it for me.
Nowadays with MP3s the impression I get is that this is a vary old fashioned way of doing music and that I should be just downloading the killer and ignoring the filler.
Any thoughts - is it generational? Is the album dead? Is that why music isn't what it used to be?I think....0 -

I don't 'do' mp3 as yet....mainly as I never got around to getting one so I still buy a CD, put it on and skip through the filler if it's really bad.
Daughter (17 yesterday) doesn't ever buy music....she's like ''buy music?!''....for her it's a free thing that's just around to be enjoyed. Howvere she does go to gigs and they cost a lot nowadays.
Son (23) dowloads mostly free music but does buy vinyl (as he has decks) and acknowledges the price 'free music'' has had but my brother (who remembers vividly his income crashing when CD sales collpapsed ) is very laisse faire about it all and accepts that most of his work is downloaded and enjoyed for free.
He earns his main £££ from tours/gigs, collaborations with bigger artists plus sells tracks for use in films (which pays loads of £££).
The whole earplug in I have never done but only because I like to hear the world around me (even if it is a motorway noise or the noise of the tube train and so on). I may have had a walkman a long time ago but never used it.0
