The thing is tanith, everyones ideas are different, i dont think pontins is a palace but f0r a cheap holiday you cant expect the ritz.
I havent been to brean sands so couldnt comment, but if you have booked a club at least u get everything thrown in, bed linien etc and for £60 i reckon it's a good deal, i'm sure there are a few peple who have been there and can let you know what ts like though x

  • Can't speak for Brean Sands but did Camber Sands last year. Pontins are old style holiday camps from the accomodation to the entertainment. In some ways this is great, entertainment-wise from morning to night your children will be entertained and the old-style blocks of chalets mean there are safe areas of grass in the middle for little ones to run around and play and make friends with other children. Bad points are if you can't stand cheesy games and party dances, etc, and the accomodation can sometimes be a little 'tired'. But why not try and make sure you get a 'club' chalet to improve your chances

These holidays are what you make of them. If you know cheap and cheerful isn't for you (or anyone like my ex who was a bit of a holiday snob and would feel sick at hearing the word holiday camp) then you won't enjoy it.

But our kids love it so we will! See you there antonsmummy!
hey there's no money but we couldn't be happier if we tried

Thanks for the info, cheap and cheerful is ok with us, and we do holiday camps most years with the grandkids who love it, I was just a bit worried that the chalets would be really awful, but we have booked a club chalet so I am sure it will be fine...:T :T :T

Bit ot, but i am taking OH to a hotel for his birthday, i've been reading reviews and its amazing how different the reviews can be, one reviw will say it's a great hotel etc, then another one says its a complete dive. strange.

  • We are booking Devon in june for £60, i am not too bothered about the chalets hopefully we won't be spending much time in them and anything has to be better than the tent we went on holiday in this year!!!

I have booked two one for Feb and the other in June . The kids love Pontins and although accomodation is basic it is more than adequate and great for a short break. At the end of the day you dont spend all your time in the accomodation and at theend of the day a holiday is as good as you make it and we had a great time at Camber on the freebie a few months ago and are looking forward to these breaks in Hemsby. Hope everyone has a great time what ever site they choose.

  • I have now made the mistake of reading some reviews on the net and they are all bad for Devon ooppps ....

Does anyone know how much we are likely to have to pay for our electricity when we are there it says something about a payment card?
