    What is Pontins accommodation like?

I wouldn't go for the cheapest accomodation (sorry don't know what it is called). I won a 4 night stay in Hemby earlier this year and to be honest I wouldn't go back there again if they paid me  . The appartment was really grotty, I'm not a snob, the appartment was just in a really bad state of repair (holes in furniture, carpets, beds which were horrible, sticky carpets, fag burns in sofa, carpets and curtains. The whole thing looked like a POW Camp. On the plus side though, it made us get up early and go out to explore! Hemsy isn't a bad area, plenty of things to see and do for kids. When we stayed they had a Barney the Dinosaur show, which my DS enjoyed (even though he stood completely still frozen with fear).

We had the classic given to us on the freebie holiday this year at Hemsby and it was fine couldnt complain at all
  • I got the brochure in the post last week but only just looked at it.
I've just booked for the same weekend at camber, i went for the club @ £105, i payed the extra £5 for ground floor, still a bargin i think!:T

Yay it'll be spot the MSEer time again (not that we spotted any last time). Have also rebooked, but for September managed to get a club for £60 this time. Camber is only a half hour drive for us but like you say it breaks the year up and is a big deal for the kids

    Fab-o-rooney!

We got a freebie break last summer with the last offer and the kids absolutely loved it. At their age the beach is all they need and somewhere to sleep. The accommodation was basic but adequate. I got the brochure last week and was looking at the prices 'cos kids said they want to go back but there was no way i was going to pay full whack. I did a few sums but then put the brochure to one side, hoping to get a free/cheap break later on - only to find the brochure in DS's bedroom (4 yrs). He said he'd been looking at it to remember his happy holiday!

Saw this thread and was on the phone double-quick. I actually got a w/e break as DS is now at school. I'm happy to pay £60 (but not much more). Kids gonna love me when they get home from school.
