Starter (excel & word) stopped printing

Hi!
I've got the 2010 starter version of excel and word, which came with the computer.
I've used it successfully since February, and print regularly, daily. This week it's stopped printing.
Any ideas?

Additional info...
It allows me to order a print, then either tells me there's no printer installed, or leaves it in the print queue with no message.

...and I've just tried to print from notepad and wordpad, neither of which seem to want to print!
I've tried deleting and reinstalling my printer, altho with the test page printing from instructions via the pc, I think that the printer may not be the problem?*** Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly ***

It sounds like the printer spooler process may either not be running or not running properly. If you say which version of windows you have, someone should be able to tell you where to look to check.
If it's not, the System Event Viewer may show up error messages which will give further clues to work on.0 -

I've been trying to search for an answer on the net too, altho I'm not too hot on technical issues so dont find that easy! However, it appears that this may be a problem encountered by other users of the starter package. Does the starter version only give you printing rights for a period of time?If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

I wondered that too SN, but cant see that in print anywhere, whilst googling the problem. I wondered if anyone on here might know.

Goto Control Panel / Administrative Tools/ Services .Look for Print Spooler Service .
