Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Wednesday 6th April. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning all
I slept better last night, yesterday I decided to resign as a First Aider at work, we have a log that has to be filled as we deal with each child, 5 of us fill it in, one doesn't, this is causing all sorts of problems which are worrying me, so I resigned.
Hubby's been dropped at the station with his packup, DW is just about to finish & the fish have been fed.
Fish pie for tea tonight.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning all, Why am I so tired in the mornings?!!! Oh well my treat coffee of the day should sort me out. Got appt. with solicitor to sort out a will with OH, thought it was about time. Then DSD has an Indian Market at school where she's dancing so we'll go watch that then it'll be time to collect littlest from pre-school so i'd imagine we'll just potter this afternoon. I'm hoping if the weather report is right I might finally get my pots planted up.
Pork chops for us for tea tonight with jacket potato and salad and fish fingers for the kids (i'm not tight but they really won't eat a pork chop!!)
STILL waiting to gear back from union rep i just want to move on now and may have some agency work coming up but obviously need to make sure I don't get penalised at 'work'......

Hi all.
Hester - I don't blame you for resigning from that. It's awful when just one person won't do as they should.
Well, it's a beautiful start here today, with 24 degrees predicted, and 28 degrees tomorrow, apparently! I hope so - I've just changed all the winter bedding over to summer, and I have a huge heavy crochet bedspread that needs washing - it takes around three days to dry so I need some prolonged good weather for that!
I'm hoping to do minimal housew**k today so I must stop looking around for things to do; the trouble is that the sunlight shows up the dust and fingermarks everywhere!
Dinner tonight is homemade sausage rolls (not home made by me but but the local English-run pork farm nearby), with salad and maybe HFW's chips or potatoes.
Anyway, I hope you all have a great day and the sun shines everywhere!

Morning All,
Up and about early this morning as I have an awful cough that's keping me awake, also have a horrible headache so just took a couple of painkillers and some cough syrup.
Managed to change the time of my delivery from Mr T's to after 8 this evening as I totally forgot we are out to tea with DSS and his wife, she is expecting in a few weeks and we will take them to buy something for the baby and then out for tea. I will also give her the baby blanket i have finished. My first proper attempt:o I think it looks good though. Managed to get my shopping down from 73 to 53 with the vouchers so that's good.
Need to nip to the post office and Mr A this morning otherwise going to chill and read my Nora Roberts so that I feel better for later.
Its a bit dull and rainy here, hopefully it will pick up.
Have a good Wednesday all J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning.
Are you lot all trying to torment me? It's blimmin freezing and raining cats dogs and crickets here
Zoo in canx for today again, we will stay at home and make cakes or something. I went to bed before nine last night in a huff, taking a leaf out of BargainBloke's book
Feeling really yucky and getting no sympathy was making me feel sorry for myself.
Plan for the day is to finish sorting out the playroom. My car is away for yet another repair - this one will be £175  and there's a possibilty there's something wrong with the cat, too. I will have stuff to take to the dump but it can wait til tomorrow when I have my own car back as OH has tools in his boot and it's much smaller than mine. I have still to clean the loos from yesterday too, as I fell asleep at 4.30 and woke at 6.30 yesterday. All I have done this week is sleep
Need to do the laundry too.
Right, I have scared myself writing down how much needs doing, so I had best be off. Have a good day everyone,
