Ok. It talks about restoring to the beginning - but it has only given me the option of restoring to the 1st of April.

I've done this - but would have liked to go back to the factory defaults.

Any ideas how, please?

Did you not do a backup when you activated Windows 7 and or when the Toshiba should have a Restore Partition and or Disk ?

I have found out how to reset/restore to factory defaults.

It was in the online manual.

Just doing it now.

It's for the best, it'll be like a fresh install/how it was last week.

But before you go back on the Internet , look at protecting your PC from malicious sites(and yourself)..... because there are 3 last weeks per month (calendar) and 11 last months .... :rotfl:Good Luck

I opened an email attachment - i was expecting a delivery from DHL that hadn't arrived.

The email said it was from DHL Global............

Not the email i was expecting - as it turned out!! It infected my laptop.

The scammers got lucky, as i was looking for a DHL email, otherwise i would have deleted it and not 'foolishly' opened it.
