An expats area would be GREAT! There must be so many of us who have transported our MSE ways with us as we've moved... i wonder how many corners of the globe we cover?!
I used this site in the UK, and I still use it now I'm in NZ - and how I wish I had the opportunities to shop cheaply that I had in the UK as well!! hey ho, my MS ways allow me to stay at home with my children while my dp works as a high-school teacher (even more underpaid than they are in the UK, believe it or not!) Without our background in money saving, and our own thifty parents, we'd be stuffed right now! :rotfl:
After all, we're still British, even if we're not living in the UK at the moment!

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
Yes, sounds like a great idea!
I guess there'd be a small amount of overlap with "Living in X" forums elsewhere on the web, but it would definitely be something I'd dip into a lot (and hopefully offer help where I could).

It is a good idea - the problem is the sites terms and conditions are drafted for users in the UK - and specifically not elsewhere. This is done on legal advice. Thus asking expats to post in an obvious way may have some consequences. It's one I need to talk to the lawyers about

As a few posters have been posting on a thread in Silver Savers about the cost of living and their experiences in Spain I have now split their posts off and started a new thread here.
As this is really just a discussion thread so please bear in mind Martin's post above when posting0
