if anyone is tempted by the cotton cosmetic pads that they often have by the tills, save your money. They are worse than useless - completely disintegrate as you are trying to use them

Anyone seen ladies wellies, my daughter wants patterned ones just wondering how much they are?

the had some wellies in the eastbourne branch yesterday, i didn't look at the price though sorry.

  • Mens navy sleepsuits reduced to £12 today in meadowhall and rotherham. Down from twenty quid.
Also ballet pumps reduced to £2. Loads of stock reduced. Not just the crap stuff either. Worth a visit.

I've bought several packs and I find them really strong! Maybe you got a bad batch?

I've found that ones from Savers etc. that have a pattern on them fall apart but these don't, even with nail varnish remover. Solid pads seem to work better.

On a price note, I think someone mentioned that supermarket own brands are often cheaper? Not sure on quality though.

Cheapest ones I found (after Wilko have put their prices up) are Mr S Basics, 80 pads for 44p, and seem to be perfectly good quality

What other items have people bought cheap that turned out not to be a bargain.

For me, it is packs of basic underwear - elastic falls apart. Will stick to M&S in future.

Nothing wrong with underwear from Asda, Tesco or Sainsburys and they're cheaper than M&S, I stopped buying from there years ago. I've found Primark underwear fine for my husband, son and daughter though.
