and I have a cat so I swear by the £2 plain fleece throws for the sofa (might be £2.50 or £3 now). I recently bought an enormous canvas laundry bag for £2, and some nice retro 70s patterned mugs for £2 for 4.

    Gift wrap and gift bags.

i echo the £2 throw for the cat....I bought one to snuggle under on the sofa and the cat soon made it her own blanket.

Their men's shorts are fab - £7 for Cargo ones (diff colours) although it's hard to find more standard 30" - 34" waists atm, and also denim shorts, £11 for a pair with a turn up detailled with camoflague material - bargain. My OH also bought a pair of their bootcut jeans for £15 - loves them, have washed well so far and fit far better than the Next ones he bought for £38 which have since been returned.

I bought a gorgous maxi dress in the Reading store at the weekend - £17 (pricy by Primark standards) but it's black and brown/tan print, kind of tribal but not animal print, with wide straps and a split at the back (but you can still wear a bra), gorgous little gold disk detailling all round the next too. So far its the only maxi dress I've bought that OH likes and said it looks far more expensive than it was :j

i flit between Reading and Slough stores - find slough good for kids and some menswear, Reading better for the selection (and space) of ladies, shoes and homeware.

Another vote here for their plunge bras - my black lacy one is going strong and I think i wear and wash it the most often! Lovely.
I can't believe they have gift vouchers,ok for kids but you wouldn't surely buy an adult one, would you ? lol
i would love gift vouchers from primark.i know i can use it for something,i had vouchers from outfit and couldnt spend them in two years,i ended up letting someone else spend them!

I have 4 kids and we LOVE Primark. As said here before their kids/adult pyjamas, especially the fleecy ones, are fantastic. Myself and the kids buy all our PJ's in Primark.
All my girls (7,13,16) buy their vest tops in Primark. The kids socks are great and their kids underwear (pants) are the most hard-wearing of any that I have bought anywhere; you couldn't actually wear them out! My teenage girls buy all their underwear/pants in the adult section and love the variety and fun styles.
My son is 12 and I buy his hoodies and jackets and t-shirts in the men's section (size small) as I found the boys sizing awfully small. I also love their Umbro track-suit bottoms (usually around £9 in men's section) and myself and the 3 older kids all wear them!
Their ladies fashion scarves are beautiful and rarely cost over £3.
I love their ladies bags too, especially when they are selling them off and reduce them to dirt cheap; have bought some nice ones for a £1 each.
At Christmas, Primark did the coolest "onesie" PJ's for £6/£8 and all 4 of my kids got ones and loved wearing them in the really cold weather.
For my 7yr old's birthday treat I took her to McDonalds and then to Primark to "shop till she dropped" and she loved her day out! :T

    Hey all.

I must admit, Primark isnt the best for quality. I have a desk job where collar and tie are a must, now the quality is poor, but the comfort for the price of shirts and shirt/tie combos, are great.

My white shirts dont last 6 months, but doing the math, 5 days = 5 shirts x avarage £5.00, = £25. replace every six months, £50 per year, i used to wear shirts that cost that alone, but the primark shirts are more comfortable.

Trousers, black formal and very cheap, feel good and were a snip at (i cant quite remember) about £10. My M&S trousers cost 24.99. Got very bobbly after a dozen or so washes......

So, opinions might be that primark and cheap and nasty, but all depends on what the garments are and what they are used for.....

One proud Primark shopper, over and out.

Primark do fleece baby blankets, typically in blue, pink and yellow.

I buy these for all new arrivals as they have been so well received and despite the price, (approx £4) and that they come from Primark - they wash really well and maintain their soft fluffy-ness, time after time!

Primark in Perth has lots of men's T shirts down to £1 as well as a few V neck sweaters and 5x pack of cotton mix men's socks for £1. There are also a couple of ladies' wear sale rails, but didn't see what was on them. There are still plenty of £1 cushions and £2 slanket type things upstairs too.

    It's only a game

I've always had some really ace stuff from Primani. Their 80s style stuff was amazing a few years ago and as I had an 80s party to go to, I barely had to spend anything to look the part.

However, I have bought a size 12 shirt without trying it on which, on measuring it was only 32" round the bust, I'm very wary about sizing. Their shirts are always too tight at the bust and big at the stomach for me anyway so I tend to avoid any structured shirts. The work dresses, skirts, jackets, etc are amazing though. I spent less than £50 and got enough to last me a whole week at work and the clothes have lasted over a year too, even though I wear and wash them at least once a week. I also looove the coloured socks. :D

I was in the massive Primark on Oxford Street and got some sunglassess for £2. Probably not the best protection but it does state they give UV protection at category '3' of the 'EN 1836' standard. Wikipedia states '2' means 'sufficient,' so these seem decent enough to protect my eyes for the ten minutes of sunshine we get in England per annum.
