Anyone who has had capped vouchers beware...Tesco are counting the actual DTD value rather than the voucher amount when it comes to totalling up your £100 monthly allowance!
I have had £76.62 worth of vouchers this month and I got the email today to say that my new receipt submitted takes me over the £100 allowance. The actual amount of DTD from my last shop was £23.98. When this is capped at £20 I am still within my £100 allowance. However, when they count the actual amount, my total for the month adds up to £100.60! So, no more vouchers for me!! Gutted, it means I paid £12+ for a box of dishwasher tablets that I could have bought for a fiver at Asda :eek:0 -

They would look for a comparable asda extra special. But the descriptions have to be very very very very similar.0 -

I've received at DTD while shopping at tesco, redditch. however i'm keen to try there online shopping. Is it possible to use the voucher when shopping via tesco.com and if yes, then how! I've looked at the site but i'm struggling to see how to redeem it....
thanks

Erm, no-one really knows. It was on the spreadsheet (page 2) - that's how I knew about it. It was probably an accidental discovery - like penicillin.
However, I think it is fair to assume that 'Tesco Finest' will be compared against 'Asda Extra Special' but it would be risky if not backed up first.0 -

Scotsgirl, thankyou so much for the spreadsheets! Loving them, plus the way they are evolving and look different each day. I've saved so much so thanks to all on here. If it helps anyone else, I always download the spreadsheets then apply a Filter to row 4, I then use that to find the best DTD in column E and when I put my quantity into column G I put the filter on that, so that it only shows my choices and print that bit. Hope I'm not preaching to the converted!0

Interesting. And thank you so much for bringing it to my / our attention.
Intersing because that is in direct contradiction to their Terms and Conditions. Term 32 reads:
The number of Price Check requests is limited to 10 per calendar month per household and the total amount of Price Check Vouchers that can be claimed is limited to £100 per calendar month per household.
So the 'Price Check Voucher' is what is under scrutiny here, not the excess that they have stripped away. I imagine that they've had to rush the 'checking' software through and it has a bug or two.
As long as you have a full history of this months DTD vouchers you've claimed then I would raise it with Tesco Customer Services and quote that line of their own Ts and Cs. They are contradicting themselves.0 -
