Yes to antibiotics. I'm on (daily) these prescribed by the dentist:
Amoxycillin x 3
Metrosomethingorother x 3
And my own pill-popping includes:
Paracetamol x 8
Ibuprofen (600mg) x 3
Co-Codamol x 2
This keeps the pain to a manageable level, so I can go DTDing! Bloody Tesco. Bloody tooth. Bloody DTD.
I'm so miserable!< not me.
Metronidazole - no boozing then to numb the pain!
hope you feel better soon, the relief when it's over is enormous and you'll be walking on air..... for a few days at least!0 -
im off to bed. sweet dreams DTDers.
HOPE THE TOOTHACHE EASES!0 -

Damn - all those anti-biotics will mean it's not worth you benefiting from the almost amazing DTD deal on Tesco Finest Fiano that reduces each bottle to £1.01. Still, that's more for me.
Get well soon.0 -

adammccance wrote: »It's awful and I know I'm self-indulging but it's triggered by sweet, cold and hot stuff - so basically everything! Otherwise it's now just a constant low-level pain. It's coming out on Wednesday, assuming the pain has subsided.
I'd never had toothache before either and jokingly used to rubbish claims that it's one of the worst kind of pains you can experience, but it genuinely is excrutiating. It must be if I'm actually looking forward to the dentist ripping it out of my skull!
My sis says it's worse that giving birth.......must be bad!!0 -

good point there. co-codamol has paracetamol in as well so you're two tabs over the max. Cut out a couple of the paracetamol.0 -
Thanks for the tips and best wishes. I'm off to bed now (just as it's flaring up again) - time to apply the heat pack to my head. With the right kind of hat, I could pass as The Elephant Man.
