I've still managed to spend £126.82 of hard cash on grocery/ food shopping since 1st April!!! £113.12 of which was in Tesco!! (mainly whoopsie shopping, the Fairy glitch and cash topping up voucher spends. I've also used grocery vouchers (eg Bettys) of about £10 and DTD vouchers of £xxx!! No wonder the fridge/ freezer/ cupboards/ garage/ bathroom cupboards are groaning! And I've given stuff away too - school raffle, food bank, couple of random things to relatives.. YeayI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200

Hi folks
Just a couple of quickies which may/may not help..
1 - The 1.25l Coke & diet coke where you have to buy 2 @ £1.50 from tesco for dtd. I can confirm from my voucher/receipt for today, you can buy 1 of each as opposed to 2 the same. Not sure if this is confirmed elsewhere but if not - there you go. Everything else on my receipt has already been confirmed - the usual lamb/coffee/easter eggs etc
2- With ref to the beef question, there is a 1/2 page ad in todays Daily Star from Asda re their latest rollback - It has the following
- 15 day matured beef joint - £8.48/kg down to £4 ( with a nice pic of some tasty beef)
- Whole British Duck 1.6kg - 2.4kg £8.40 now down to £6
- Chicken fillets 4 pack, 613g, £7.14 down to £6.
I've just done a quick tesco search for equivalents but can't seem to find any so maybe someone with a bit more savvy can throw some light!
Thanks again to all the SS updaters - a fantastic resource & well maintained. Invaluable.
Happy Friday!
ps - edit - tesco do a Gressingham Duck, 2.128kg, from East Anglia ( east anglia is in britain) for £9??In one hand and out of the Other!0 -

sorry if this has been posted but i have just been shopping and noticed a few price changes. They might be my mistake, but just so people can be wary. Sorry if i have got it wrong anywhere.
Flash with bleach was 2 for £3 so could only buy one.
Lucozade orange 6s were 2 for £5 so lost my DTD there
Blue WKD 700ml were 2 for £5.50 so again lost my DTD
Again, apologies if i have anything wrong, but when i looked before i went, this wasnt the case on the spreadsheet
Thanks0 -
Like so many people on here, I'm very hard up. I am LOVING this Tesco thing, not only because it has genuinely helped me out financially, but also because it's FUN and the people on here are lovely! :kisses3:
Also like lots of us, I've been able to amass quantities of things like teabags that I would never have imagined! I don't know about others, but I really REALLY want to share the love, and feel it is very, very important to share our good fortune around. Apart from anything else, doing something good for others is by FAR the best mood-booster there is out there.
So, here's my list of things you can do to share the freebies:
- drop off a bagful of stuff at a homeless shelter, especially teabags, cereal and toiletries.
- put some treats - biscuits, chocolate, Twinings tea, fabric conditioner, Olay - in a box or pretty bag and give to an elderly person you know. You'll make their day!
- create a hamper of the 'better quality' items on the list to be raffled off for charity.
- give some cat or dog food to an animal shelter. Large Tescos often have bins specifically for this in the entrance.
- if like me you have an excess of dear old Betty C, a local youth group would probably be delighted to have them for a pancake evening.
- think up lovely reasons to give people a treat (After Eights, Roses, Olay). For example, 'I want to give this to you because I know how hard you work for others, and this is to show I appreciate you'. Again, you'll make someone's day!
- make up hampers, or small groups of things like wine, as prizes for quizzes and so on, to raise money for charity.
- women's refuges would love toiletries, including children's toiletries.
Feel free to add to this list. If you're not sure of places in your locality, or how best to help out, places like community centres and local churches will usually be more than happy to point you in the right direction.
It would be so amazing if everyone who comes on here were to do at least one of these things! :A This has been so much fun (other than a fews!!), that it would be fantastic to share the love.
A big, massive thank you to all those who are really putting in the hours for this, especially for the spreadsheet and so on.:T
Lovely post and ideas, thank you CazGreg. :A:A:A p.s. I LOLed at the trout pic! :rotfl:Hi all, got my voucher in too.
Just got back from my local tesco only to be accosted on leaving the store by two of the checkout managers maybe even assistant store manager cant be sure.
They basically walked out into the car part shouting at me and so i talked to them and they do the following:
1. Ask me to see my receipt
2. I ask them why
3. She accuses me of coming in buying something with a DTD voucher then getting a refund on it BACK TO MY CREDIT CARD. Which is totally false. I did get a refunsd once but got a tesco gift card.. which after informing her of this she admitted was ok.
3.5. After accusing me of doing it she threatened to ban me from the store for refunding to credit card because HER sas werent trained correctly.
4. So after realising she was in the !!!!, i said she had offended me and embarrassed me by demanding my receipt in public and talking to me in the car park.
5. Eventually she apologies and says i am fine doing price check and double the difference etc and sorry if she offended me.
I dunno what i should do as i feel a bit miffed she accosted me outside the store. Also about being threatened to be banned is highly annoying as i didnt even do what she accused me.
What do you think i should do ?
A. Ring Head Office and complain
B. Go back in an hour or so and ask her if im still ok to do DTD and not be harassed?
Or C both?
Nightmare. Maybe do as others have suggested and keep quiet for now, but make a note of it in case in happens again!!!p.s. I'm noticing loads of people on this thread are going Betty Crocker crazy! :eek:I've never bought BC (couldn't find it and keep forgetting to look) there's loads of other items which can bump up your DTd too!;)

Only just realised it was a trout!!!!!
Bit slow here today, must have used up too much brain power working out all the DTDs!!0 -
I shopped earlier today and only bought things I knew I'd benefit from with DTD. Someone on the last page or so mentioned buying something else (not in the DTD) in order to benefit. Have I made a boo-boo?0
