Had truly hideous experience yesterday at Tesco, so much so i ended up crying on the way home. Felt so ashamed, but i'm sure you all know how the staff at Tesco can get to you. Apologies to anyone on here who might work there, but they really are the rudest, obnoxious SA's i ever come across and i thought that even before this whole voucher thing.
Complained when i got home, which i have never done before.
Anyway went in again this morning, went to the self service checkout and the SA from yesterday came over and started making snidey comments to the SA on the self service. You know, the usual - i'm a scab, i come in every other day with my vouchers etc. The thing is this time i only went in for some treats for my daughter to sell at her schools "help Japan" cake sale!
Grrrr dont know whether to complain as it is her word against mine. Upset me, but has made me more determined than ever to get the best deals i can out of this.
Once my vouchers are up, i will never set foot in Tesco.

Oh, that is awful. You should definitely complain, poor thing. :( Have a hug xoxoxo

I bought the "Cars" one yesterday. My son is desperate to use it. If it comes back n/f, i will be returning it.:(

Wouldn't it have been better to buy it without him knowing, and only let him see it after DTD is confirmed? It must be hard for a small child to understand if it's taken away from him. :( Anyway, I hope you do get DTD and he can have it.

Can I just check is anyone having trouble when their whole receipt is less than/similar to the cash back amount?

I heard a murmur it had to be 50% and i'm about to send a very nervous man in for his first ever DTD voucher using shop.

    It shouldn't be a problem

One household I know of used up their entire months vouchers on nothing but razors

Went to Tesco last night with DP and spent £83.88. Handed over my voucher for £49.46 and a 50p coupon - meant dp only had to pay £33.92.

Just texted him to say I've got a £20 DTD voucher from last night and he's just texted back saying "bloody hell! u certainly knew what u were doing!!!" :rotfl:

Think I may have converted him now :D

That is terrible. Did you say anything to the SA's making snidey comments today?

I know everyone is different, but I would have approached them, told them how rude it was to talk about customers and how disgusted I was regarding their attitude. Then taken both their names and let them know they would be reported to their store manager, area manager, head office and Tesco CEO.

The thought of that should give the bullies a sleepless night.
