Tesco should price match on the day you bought.

I've added this question to the FAQs as it comes up a lot!

I know this is right but ..............if you input a receipt from something that you bought 20 days ago how do T`s know what price it was then when prices are changing every day?
Tesco must have some other means of checking prices against Asda apart from the daily site v site IYKWIM
It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

Hi, don't know if this has been posted or not but the Carex hand wash is £1 each or 4 for £3 in asda now.

so we would need to buy 4 for £4 at Mr Ts, and DTD would be £2, making them 50p each ? Have I done that correctly?

My Mum sister and I all had the same problem this time last week after doing Friday and Saturday shops. 1 of the Friday shop vouchers turned up by email on Tuesday morning. Between us we resubmitted the details throughout the day but the other vouchers appeared after 7pm on Tuesday on the price checker website. When somebody called CS about it last week they were told 36 working hours i.e. weekends not included! :p i think we all know by now that some CS at HO just make it up as they go along!
On another note i queried some N/F & N/a items with CS hotline yesterday because they were appearing on Asda.com even when the voucher came through. I was told that the DTD price checker only matches food items and doesn't match any of Asda's offers that's why Tesco's is always cheaper!!!!! :rotfl:

:D:naughty::naughty:they must mean Tesco is always cheaper once the DTD discount has been factored in !

What is it with Tesco? I got all excited when we had Friday vouchers and then vouchers at 10am on the weekend! Thought they were bucking there ideas up but now I am back to hitting F5!

This is not the first time F5 has been mentioned in checking for vouchers.

What are you F5'ing (new phrase invented) - as When I input to the 'processing screen' I assumed I'd have to go back a screen and re-input (sometimes the details stick, most times it's blank again).

Can you sit on the 'processing' screen and F5 that?
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)

Seems incredibly petty and unnecessary and I hope is sorted amicably asap.

for the record I would just like to say thanks to gazwood for his input on the thread and thanks to Tara747 for hers - forget the turf war and lets enjoy the savings.

    I will second that!

  • My first ever DTD shop to be done this afternoon

    2 x Doritos Dips
    2 x Kenco 100g Costa Rica
1 x Walls Cornetto enigma (Raspberry or choc)
    1 x Magnum white 3 pack
    1 x Philadelphia 300g
1 x Thorntons egg (Classic, toffee or Moment)

    DTD £ 19.26

Can some one please have a look for me as neither the Doritos Dips offer or the Kenco coffee offer are on the spreadsheet so I am not certain at all if this will work?

Just a little update for the spreadsheet...

Cillit bang power grime & lime cleaner spray (750mL) has gone up in A to £3.05, so now exactly the same price as in T.

I am f5-ing my email hun! I am also inputting details again on price check! If I click back it saves the data but can only do this twice then have to reinput again!

Hi - people were still posting on the old thread up to 12.47 am so I have PM'd the Board Guides to ask that the thread be closed and put another notice on the thread stating this and showing where new thread is. Unfortunately, by the time I PM'd them, none of the 4 were online so I have asked them to close it when they come online again later, however there have been no further posts on the old thread since I put up the notice at 12.57 am

When you get a 'full thread' all you need to do is check on the Grabbit Forum to see who are the BG's for that forum shown at bottom of the index page to the right, and PM them requesting closure of the thread

Many thanks for all your hard work on the spreadsheet and on the thread too - can hardly ever get to post as it is taking all my time to catch up

Thanks for doing that 3Dogs. :)
