Tesco/Asda Pricechecker Thread - part 3

The only way the greedy can profit from this is by picking out the items that greedy old tesco has put on the sheves with vastly over inflated prices...
For every DTDer buying these items I'd guess theres 100s/1000s of other customers buying them full price.
And until Tesco impose a limit on all customers that they are not allowed to shop with them any more than ten times a month I will continue to profit from Tescos greed by recycling as often as I can.
After all this is a moneysaving site, its probably not for you if you are more worried about the poor little old retailer rather than the evil greedy old consumer.
This DTD thing is great and is helping an awful lot of people (myself included), but in my experience, when the few tear the backside out of something, it inevitably disappears, as quickly as it arrived.
That's life I guess...........0 -

Supermarket chains are hardly known for their high moral standards - they seem to have the power & 'muscle' to ride roughshod over everyone & everything & are a law unto themselves. Just a few examples:-
Squeezing Farmers & small Producers/Manufacturers on price until they go out of business.
Putting small corner shops out of business.
Decimating the High Street.
Getting planning permission to build wherever they want, regardless of community of environmental issues.
Rumours of pricing cartels - we will pay what they deem is the right price.
Dubious pricing & display tactics, instore, which mislead.
'Monopolies & Mergers' - what is that? They almost own the world!
.......... I could go on!
That's not to say they are all bad - it is the way we shop these days - but hardly 'high moral standards'. They weild indescribable power - we are their puppets. So, on the rare occasions the Consumer gets to win - I say great!!!
There aren't many people these days who can afford luxuries (& if they can they probably don't shop or Tesco or couldn't be bothered with this type of promotion). So, we are looking at people who for the first time in ages can buy themselves & their families a few treats, a nice easter egg, stock up on washing powder, fill the freezer etc. etc. & have some spare budget left at the end of the month to pay bills or throw at some debts - that thought actually gives me a lot of pleasure!0 -
