Heres to all the bulging freezers, creaking lofts, groaning shelves and every nook and cranny stuffed with DTD goodies.

It's times like this I LOVE Tesco!! :money::money::money:

To anyone who thinks we're ripping off Tesco, here's my answer.

The only reason this works is because T & A both like to price on a non-commercial basis to try and get us to spend more money. Tesco likes to do BOGOF instead of just making it cheaper to buy one item. Asda likes to do "rollback" offers, which are just loss-leaders to drag us into their stores.

The bottom line is that this wouldn't work if they both adopted an honest pricing strategy. They can both buy in at the same prices. They both need the same profit margins. There shouldn't be any difference in price - but there is because they're not pricing honestly.

As long as they're not honest in their pricing, then they can't complain about us not shopping honestly.

In terms of how much it's costing them, it's a drop in the ocean compared to how much they make by paying the farmers 1p less for a pint of milk.

    DONT FORGET GUYS!!!!!

    GOLD BLEND
    150G REFILL PACKS
    £4.25 TESCO...£2 ASDA
    DTD £4.50
TESCO ARE PAYING YOU TO TAKE THIS!!!
IT WOULD BE RUDE NOT TO!!!

SHOPLIFTING HAS NEVER BEEN SO LEGAL!!! PMSL:rotfl:

Thanks for this - be careful, though, in our local T - they had put the 'Nescafe Original' in front of the SEL where the 'Gold Blend' should be - & stupidly I bought it. It retails at £3.39 & is NOT eligible for DTD so be careful!

If you want to fill a DTD basket - the Split Tin Sliced White Crusty Loaf is quite good - 1.20 in T/80p in A, so 80p DTD (making the loaf 40p to buy).

BTW, forgot to say on my last post a massive thanks to everyone who finds all these great DTD's & the compilers of the brilliant spreadsheets.

If it was a £20 note you had thrown away, you'd be diving into that bin head first to find it I bet. :D Think of it in those terms

I hope this helps some people...

Up until yesterday I was waiting for a voucher from last Friday, I imputed my receipt details again and had a message saying that they had lost my receipt and was sorry etc... My other voucher from Wednesday, on imputing details, had message it was processing. On the off chance I checked my e mails and there was an e mail for each voucher so I printed voucher from e mail link. Even now when I enter those receipt details I get the 'processing' message and the 'lost receipt' message. So for those who are just relaying on a voucher to appear when imputing details again I would suggest you checking the e mail address you used.

    has any1 confirmed this yet?

If I remember correctly someone bought one yesterday and will confirm (or not as tha case may be) when the vouchers come through today. I'm awaiting this one too :)

Although off to Tesco's in about 30min (well, driving past and could do with some Fairy... and maybe some comfort... ooh and some ice cream would be nice:D) so may pick one up anyway and do as someone suggested, take it back as change of mind if it doesn't. I will quite happily tell the SA my reason for taking it back would be that Asda is £8 cheaper.. :D
