In view of the article on the mail website and the upcoming watchdog i couldnt really care less.

As a shopper i like to take advantage of offers, and that is all i am doing with the price check promotion.

If the prices werent so extorted - albeit on a small proportion of their items - we wouldn't be able to find a way to take advantage of offers - so I totally agree - I feel no guilt - knowing for years Ive been going in thinking the BOGOF's etc are good value when in actual fact its just an extortion of price to start with!!!!

Going to stick my neck out here and say that this to me proves the point that we are abusing the system - as if you catually did your normal shop you are saying that you wouldn't get anything back i.e. Mr A would not be that much / any cheaper.

The system / their offer is that your regular shopping would be cheaper than Mr A. What we are doing is purposefully buying the most expensive items and ignoring the good offers and cheaper items.

Not wanting to start an argument and I am doing this along with everyone else, but I think it's fair to say that this isn't really "in the spirit of the promotion" :o

Personally, I don't think chopping the 4x to 3x voucher exchange was in the spirit of things, especially in the middle of a recession. Tesco posted £3.5 billion profit last year.............i'll lose no sleep for them.

Think this is missing off the spreadsheet:

Confirmed from a shop earlier in the week:

    SKI VARIETY BURST YOGURT 4X120G Tesco £ 1.30 Asda £ 1.00

Tesco have them on special for 2 for £2.50 so that is a 50p saving DTD= £1

Or buy singly for a 30p saving, 60p DTD.

Just wanted to let everyone know Magnum White and Magnum Classic prices have been increased in Tesco! It's now £2.29 per pack instead of £2, (still £1 in Asda) so that's an even greater DTD! :j

    HELP PLEASE!!

    Hello all

I got a email iro my shop on Fri.
It says that the recipet can not be found and to try and input again. When i do this it says the same recipet cant be found, basically good luck next time!

    What should i do?

I've had this happen to me once. Think I put one of the digits in wrong. I went to the price check page again and inputted the details and the day after that the receipt details came through as normal. Is it possible you are reading or inputting the digits incorrectly?

Personally, I only buy stuff that I want and will use - as opposed to some that seem to buy bits just for dtd. . . plus I add to my basket bread, milk and all the normal bits that are the same price as asda - makes my shop look less conspicuous - dont want to rip the backside out of it and get attention drawn to me or the offer stopped ;)

Possible Single Malt Scotch Whisky DTD bargain (unconfirmed) for whisky fans:

Isle of Jura 10 Year Old Malt Whisky 70CL

    T: 28.29 / A: 18.00 / D: 10.29 / DTD: 20.00

(Only the 10 y/o, does not apply to Jura "Superstition" or "16 y/o".)

This is my one of my favourite whiskies - its had a nice warming honey style to it, with delicate peaty notes - but not at all harsh. It falls at the lighter end of the scale (a good thing to many). I thoroughly recommend it - stock up for Hogmanay! Will report back my DTD success or otherwise tomorrow hopefully.

I bought this yesterday so will confirm today!
