Just looked at the web site.....

I'd get your boyfriend to cancel his card STRAIGHT AWAY!

No address of the company, no phone numbers, they use gmail for customer services!!!

Forget about the money you think you've lost, I'd be worried about them emptying his card, SERIOUSLY

Get him to act straight away

DON'T WAIT TILL TOMORROW, HE NEEDS TO DO IT NOW

Just when you see a bargain and you really want it. Everyone makes mistakes!

the site looks VERY RISKY though, the visa logo's etc at the bottom are just linked to the main website page you are on, the whole thing shouts SCAM to me, he needs to cancel his card right away and tell the Credit Card company why, might save him much much more money.

Hope I'm wrong, but I wouldn't even use my ex wife's card on that site ;)

If, when you receive them they are definately counterfeit, get your boyfriend to contact his card issuer. If the website does not display a physical address, they may be able to action a pre compliance claim. Under Visa regulations (not sure whether mastercard is the same) your card issuer can dispute this for you as the retailer has breached the terms of their agreement with Visa by not displaying an address on their website. We do loads of these every day at work and we've won them all, so our customers get their money back. You don't need to send the goods back to do this. There's really no need for him to cancel his card, unless he's advised to by the issuer, we wouldn't advise stopping a card for this reason.

If its Mastercard then a chargeback is available rc4853 - Not as described

Your bank will need covering letter.
    Invoice
Proof they are counterfeit - letter from GHD or independant report to confirm they are fake.

You have to tender return- Contact the merchant and make the goods available for uplift( different from actually returning the goods as its mastercard you do not need to return them).

Chargeback will be done - BANG you get your money

We deal with 100s of these disputes and your bank will be fully aware.

    All the best :)

If they are counterfeit there is a chance that Customs will get them - they will be destroyed and a letter sent to you to advice you of this.
I hope this does not happen to you and you get your refund.

  • hi, sorry to butt in but I have read all what's been said and think I am in a similar situation!! and would like to seek advice also

firstly I purchased my goods from the very same website, by debit card 16 days ago!! and still not received my goods!!! they emailed me asking for my contact number, so I gave it them asking why this was necessary. they emailed me back fairly quick on every reply up until now when I have been asking for my goods and asking where they are,, I even paid extra money for them to be delivered by fed-ex so they could reach me within '3-5' working days!!! the only thing I will say is when I typed there web address into the official GHD website to see if they were fake,, they had a green tick and said they were a valid registered site!!!

i really don't know what to do,, and would appreciate any comments

    thank you
