will i get a credit card refund?

hi not sure if this is on the right page,

but on the 27th of march i purchased some 'GHDs' from a website and my boyfriend paid for them on his credit card.... however later on we found out these hair straighteners were counterfiet

over the last week i have emailed them about 6 times saying i no longer want them, and i want conformation that i refund will be paid back etc.

i have had only one reply back from them saying they are not counterfiet and they wish to do business etc i havent recieved the product as i would just send them back so have i lost the money or has my boyfriend got protection because we paid by credit card.

sorry about the long post but really not sure what to do and its the first time we have ever used the credit card, but there were no other methods available

Are you saying you found out they were fake before you received them? How?

i know its a fake now, but i got the link off ebay so was stupid and i checked it against another website and compare all the pictures and they looked identical ans showed hologram stickers

How did you pay? You said credit card, but was it rthrough a payment processor like Paypal or Worldpay or Google etc?

because if you go on an offical GHD website and type in the the website it comes up as fake,
and i also found out later alot of GHDS are fake if priced between £50 and £60 and i paid about £58

so it keeps changing my email also said there very popular so i would have to wait a bit longer but its been 8 days

Until you receive them and can be certain and prove they are fake then you could not make a claim.
As its an amount under £100 then a section 75 claim will not be possible.

Does the website have a cancellation policy in the T&C? Did you cancel in time and within the T&C?
What is their policy on returns? if you receive the item can you not return them for a refund?

The website is is China. Forget about 'returns', because they will deny receiving them back.

If you paid through a payment processor, you have to claim against them anyway and not your credit card.

not sure about the cancellation , i emailed them last monday and said i no longer wanted them, they said we are not counterfiet and i should reconsider i emailed back and said no please cancel my order and refund and since then i have had no reply to any of my other emails

the website said there will be a 30 day money back guarentee but im seriously doubting whether i will even get them
