Hello, I just wanted to come on and thank everyone who posts comps....I am very new to this and only discovered this part of the forum at the beginning of the month....am now entering competitions like crazy!!

Hi,
sorry to start a new thread.
Its been mentioned that you can buy stamps on ebay.

can you give me a few pointers please (especially towards 2nd class ones).
Are unfranked stamps going to be valid?
where is a good place to buy books?

You've posted in the wrong thread I'm afraid so it will be moved but thought I'd comment while it's here. I've bought stamps on ebay before & had no problems with them whatsoever though you need to check before you buy as some aren't gummed while others are. As for books, I always get the best deal from Amazon as they offer free postage usually while ebay tend to be high postage costs

there seems to be lots of people posting unfranked ones on paper......any good?

hi, that's beacause the postal thread is for posting postal comps & texts
you may get more responses in the comps discussion thread as that's usually where peeps ask -

Hi, has anyone subscribed to My Comps?

There are a couple of pages (or 3) closing 15/04 which are still on the main board i.e. not moved to closing comps. If I post the page numbers from 190+, it's possible these will change as people post (I'm doing closing 15/05 comps hence how I found them). I can't post each link to a BG so how can they know?
