    :D That sounds exciting!! :j

I don't think it would matter if you posted it now, it's probably slightly early, but you could put the start date in the title and it could just drop down the boards until it's ready to be bumped on the first day?

I assume the end date is 31/05? If so I believe it should go on the main board and be linked into the daily thread :D

Thanks for posting it, can't wait to see all the prize info! :j

It is exciting! Love the Glamour giveaways! I know it is a bit early as the mag just went on sale, but I'm doing nowt for the next hour or so, so I thought I'd get typing so everyone can see the list! :D

    Am on it!

Hello all I was wondering what you all thought about the 'Find a Prize' website as I see that another member thinks that it might be spammy? Now whether it's just a coincidence, but I'm sure that since I've been entering one of the comps on there on a daily basis I've been getting loads of spam emails from DHL. It's not them, and my anti virus software is detecting viruses in them.

Personally,I've not entered any.I commented here a good bit back & my opinion has not altered.
Just seems to good to be true.

    I agree, I think they're probably spammy too :(

No proof or anything, just a gut feeling, the site setup is very very similar to some others that were posted before (I can't remember which ones now sorry :o although I think one was World Cup related?) that I think it was decided were spammy too?

I wouldn't worry too much if you have entered though because I think they only ask for name and email address so the worst they can do is bombard you with emails :)

I have a question for those who enter twitter comps.

When I'm retweeting do I need to copy it manually and add RT at the start or can I just click the Retweet button? I notice when I click the button it doesn't come up as a tweet from me, makes me think it might not count in the competitions.

Do you not think it will just get continually bumped between now and the start date with people commenting on how good it looks?

Hey, I'm just wondering, but do you guys apply for a competition ONCE, or do you apply several times if able?

All depends on the specific comp rules. If it's one per person I tend to enter with my details & my partners. On the comps where you can enter as many times I tend to do the same as I cannot generally be bothered to keep at one comp.

I just wanted to get it posted so you all could see what was on offer and it was ready to go live on the date as like I say, I'm away then. I'm trusting MSE'ers not to bump it but if it's continually bumped then please feel free to get it deleted and give me a slap for the inconveniencies! :D

I'm not an expert on Twitter by any means but if you click the retweet link/button it will automatically insert the RT for you. I normally try and find the post by the original company though (if I have time) and retweet that. I do not think it makes a difference and it is probably just personal taste.

Incidentaly I use Seesmic. It is a desktop app which brings your tweets up as become live instead of having the "x new tweets" notification on the Twitter site. You can also have multiple accounts (I have my normal and competition Facebook accounts and my normal and comp Twitter accounts on there).
If anybody is interested it is located at www(dot)seesmic(dot)com
