how do we win with the codes from mountain dew etc? do we have to enter dead on the hour for entry to be accepted and is it hard to win?
JULY WINS- LABEL M PRODUCTS0 -
Hi,I'm no expert on the benefit system but I think winning a car & tech stuff is fine & does not need to be declared.A big cash win would need to be as I think the limit for cash assets is £6k.For every £ over I think so much is deducted from a persons benefits.I'll try & get a bit more info.
For Income Support the limit of cash assets is £16k........... http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/BenefitsTaxCreditsAndOtherSupport/On_a_low_income/DG_10018708
I think you are fine with the majoority of comps, including holidays comps.
Thanks for your advice weeowens:) I would be very shocked to ever win an ITV comp but I'll feel a bit more comfortable about entering them!0 -

There have been plenty of mse winners from this comp and people seem to have won from entering all different times. Busiest times are the first draw of the day and weekends, but you may as well enter as many of them as you can:)0 -

Well you can only do what you can ,i do 6 and im sure people have won with less ,as with all comps its just down to luck and if your'e meant to win then you will,i think the best thing really is not to have any high expectations and then you can't be too disappointed ,just treat all comping as a bit of fun.:)0 -

I am really annoyed with Roboform, deciding to charge annually. I've posted on their wall and am not impressed with their response so far -
Is it even legal for a company to decide to change their Software Upgrade terms and apply it to existing customers? Roboform have withdrawn support for old versions, and require existing customers with lifetime upgrade licences to take out annual subscriptions before they can upgrade to V7. Am I overreacting on the Roboform wall? I feel really let down by them cancelling the Lifetime upgrades with no notice
https://www.facebook.com/RoboForm/posts/10150284892936030?notif_t=feed_commentA lot of people where very upset (and still are) including me when they cancelled there lifetime guarantee some time ago and a lot of people have complained much like you without any success
unfortunately they are an American company and there consumer laws are not as good as ours as there consumer laws tend to differ from state to state
If you upgrade and purchase Roboform Desktop/Laptop then there is no annual fee
and if you go via the upgrade link it is $19.95 which is roughly about £12 sterling
http://www.roboform.com/php/pums/rfprepay.php?lic=upgrade_rf7&upgrade=yes&lang=en
I held out for ages before upgrading and initially I was adamant that I wouldn't purchase the new upgrade but as it is an essential comping tool I eventually had to bite the bullet and upgrade
well I am even more disgusted with them... I had linked to a page they hosted which still showed the Free Upgrades, and they have now edited that page...
Luckily I still have some other links that show it, but before I post on there FB page I will ensure I screen grab first. My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly

RE: Roboform, I bought it a few weeks ago; currently on offer for $9.95 which is about £8, for the full-on package which remembers passwords for sites as well as your form fillers and other details. I see it as an investment and it's well worth it for me.0

Hope this isn't a controversial question, but why has this thread been moved into regs? Only noticed yesterday when I was very tired, but the logic still eludes me this morning
!
Or perhaps it was done mistakenly- meant to be Game Overed & we're getting a shiny new one... :j?
Poor BGs must already get fed up moving comps from the main board, I forsee even more if this thread is hidden away in here !Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -

I do agree that its worth the money, but I have bought it 4 or 5 times for different PCs already, and now, it appears that because I would prefer to have the desktop version I need to buy another load of licences...
I have been searching internet Archives for the old versions of their Website pages and it shows that they didn't have the Free Upgrades as a Plus Point for buying the Pro Version pre Nov 2002, then they added the Free Upgrades as the Very First benefit for buying Pro from 2003 until late 2008. However they changed the page, end 2008 and quietly removed the Free Upgrades from the benefits of buying Pro..
So the way I read that is if you bought while they offered Free Upgrades, then thats what you should get.
I also have a thread asking about this which I started on the consumer rights board https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/46158363#Comment_46158363My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly

Not something overly worrying me right now to be honest, as all I've won this month is a coffee mug, a box of cereal and some Rice Krispie Squares:D But for example the comp to win a Citroen car, £1000 cheque and gadgets - I assume if you won that you'd have to declare it or they'd find out? I'm nervous of the big prizes, because though I've very little chance of winning anyway I worry they could jeopardise the little income we have if I did. Has anyone got in trouble for not declaring a win, to anyones knowledge? Thank you
I think if its a prize your fine, and its just if it was a large amount of money it may take you over the saving threshold. I think that comp prizes are tax free as well.My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly
