I did my redirection for 12 months, it wasn't £40 when I did it but I know it wasn't cheap, but even recently I have had prizes sent to my old address & redirected - so I have added another 6 months to the redirection now. I have had really good prizes arrive many many months after the competition has ended. I remember when I won the £1,500 Virgin Holiday voucher a few years ago I had no idea I had won until the voucher arrived, the comp had ended about 4 months before I knew I had won!!! I would seriously reccomend getting post redirected for minimum of 12 months if possible x

we did end up having mail redirected for another month after but we were lucky as our old neighbours & the new people who bought our house were trustworthy so they phoned/let us know if any parcels had turned up, tbh if i was ever going to move again i would recommend stop entering the comps with your old address
as soon as you know your new address & amend all your details on the sites, then let the people know (who are still living in your new place) that you may be receiving some mail/parcels,
i did have to contact a few of the sites as they didn't seem to have a 'update your details' on them.
please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly. k2u58ioz4c8e.png

Hi all, just looking for a little advice, we're due to move house soon, when do you think would be a good time to stop entering comps at our current address?

You could consider using a close friend's or relation's address for comps that might require delivery around the moving time.

For email entries you could put both old and new addresses with a moving date.

Don't forget that some comps take quite some time after closing before prize is delivered.
  • Hi guys, I found out this morning via a letter through the door, that I'd won a holiday from a company called Club La Costa. I remember entering a competition through "Get Me A Ticket". I called them up, but the lady I was supposed to speak to was busy, and that they'd call me back.

Anyway, the lady called me back and said I'd a won a holiday for a week for every year of my life. I just wondered if it sounds fishy to you guys? I'm quite skeptical with these things. I am happy on the other hand.

    Would you guys be wary?

    Thanks in advance.

I believe that Club La Costa are a Timeshare Company and that Get Me A Ticket are on the companies to avoid list on here.

I'd be very wary. They may want payment & it may be Timeshare.Be guarded in your delaings with them.

If it is a proper prize you should not need to pay out at all.

She mentioned that I'd need to pay for tickets to the destination, and also £50 as a deposit for the accommodation, which would be reimbursed.

My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)
