Sounds like heaven melvis, sheils & B.Sue I love it when OH is on nights for the bed to myself, although I cant sleep properly worrying!

My peace only lasted a few hours wingo but DH so impressed with recent wins he made dinner and let me comp in peace! He isn't such a bad old stick really.( We were having roast beef anyway and he says I overcook it )

I hated childrens parties mind you teenage girls shopping trips etc are just as bad which is what we have now.

I have had a nice afternoon,saw my sister at my flat about 2 hours late and I had waited for her to come nearly all afternoon,Had a chat with her and then she left to go to my parents.I watched Strictly the Launch show and it was great,love all this years line up already.

Weather been too bad to do much Skippy but taking DD to shops this afternoon. DS was the main reason for going as he needs new trainers and flip flops for hols but he is refusing to come :mad: Teenage boys are a nightmare sometimes. He works on at Saturday for 4 and a half hrs from 10am so won't get out of bed on a Sunday!

Hiya sheils. Weather a bit cold here at the minute. Quite windy and sunny though so on the plus side I'm managing to get some washing dried out on the line :j

Woke up with cramps this morning and couldn't get back to sleep so have been up since half seven :eek:

We got a new dyson this week so will be trying it out later. It's the first time I've ever been happy at the prospect of doing housework :rotfl:

How are you getting on with the Anchor comp? I've won twice up until now. One prize has arrived (a butterdish). It was really lovely but I gave it to my mam since I knew I would never get it used. I'm still hoping for a cake stand, tea towel or cake tin for the next one

Between us DH & I have won 2 oven gloves, T-towel, 2 butter dishes and a mug and I think we have two more wins to come. I just enter us both while I am at it! Really want the egg cups (I know I'm a bit sad!) Would like the cake stand too. Did win the Sennheissen Ear phones on their FB site this week too so that will be a nice Xmas prezzy for DS.

Well done sheils, that's fab :j My mam has had a couple of winning emails as well from Anchor but nothing has arrived yet. OH is entering it as well but hasn't won yet.

It was to win a new bike frame from Pronghorn by designing new graphics for the frame

The comp ran from 8th June until 8th July this year

I submitted a load of designs, and so did many others, but now they are saying 'nobody won the competition'

I'm sure they can't do that

The terms and conditions of the comp were still on their page last week, but now it looks like they have taken them down
