Congratulations, sammy, you must be made up!:beer: You ARE on a roll at the moment, aren't you! :T And lovely that you're so near Ben's friends/grandma - and that Owen has somewhere to put his bikes!!!

(Just one little thought though - might you be better copying that picture and pasting it as the current link shows your new address for all and sundry? Obviously all we'll do on here is send you welcome to your new home cards, but you never know who else might be looking?)

de-lurking to say .....i agree! felt like a right fruit-cake! putting all my washing out, just to bring it in again straight away! the annoying thing is that it only rained for about 10mins!

Just popped on to say - check out your local Poundstretchers!

Ours is selling boxes of 12 stripey Christmas Canes (dated until 05/05/2012) for 10p a box.

I love using these to with I put the ribbons on Christmas presents so I bought 5 boxes :xmassmile Lots of other Christmas themed boxed goodies in the 10p basket - 6 edible candy shot glasses & mini candy Christmas trees on long dates - Malteaser crackers & choc novelties were 30p but short dated :santa2:
..it'll soon be here! So shop early :rotfl:

Thanks for that! :rotfl: Actually I already have a box full of presents bought from the Lloyds Pharmacy sale in January so hopefully this Christmas will be less stressful/expensive than the last!

Sammy-Kaye, I hope you get your veg patch!
Annie56, any news on Chantelle's owners yet?

A friend of mine has got herself into a terrible mess. She got a parking ticket (she misread the sign on the lampost because she was in a hurry), ignored it, ignored the reminders, and now has had to pay ten times the original ticket to the bailiffs  She is already up to her ears in debt through no fault of her own (husband losing his job, recession, rising prices etc) and is worried about how she will make ends meet this month. I can't help her out as I'm due to be unemployed in just over a month's time so I'm ekeing every penny myself, plus of course I had the vet's bills this month (Mavis Hen had to be put to sleep on Wednesday in spite of all my attempts to get her better :().

On the old-style front (better attempt to at least try and keep this post on topic!) has anyone ever used this company http://www.jjfoodservice.com/ They do bulk food. Might be worth getting together with a few friends or neighbours and putting in an order?

Anyway, I am going to get off my lazy backside and do some housework since the house is a pit. I went back to bed after walking the dogs this morning so it's about time I did something useful!

God bless your Monty for taking care of the poodle - you've got a good bloke there :) definately made of the right sort of stuff IMO :) You may not be financially well off but you are rich in what money can't buy - love, compassion, kindness and caring.

Indeed - thats what I was thinking about him. You'll never be rich in money Annie with a man like that - but you'll be "rich" in a lot of other ways. The guy's definitely a "keeper":D

That's a shame. I've just had a look on their 'branch' page and it seems the furthest north they go is Manchester and Doncaster. You'd think the Scots would have something similar, wouldn't you, them being all canny and that? (I can say this because I'm originally from Yorkshire and we are as tight as a duck's ahem derriere).
