Morning all...
Mrsvegplot..glad your ok babe..sorry about hubs colitis..have no ideas tbh for sandwich fillings though...its lovely of your friend to lend you an outfit..my dd lent me 5 dresses for a wedding and not bloody one of them will fit me..thought they might but i have lost some weight and now i have to look for one..CS here i come..

Trifles hiya..thanks for that tip about hair condidtioner on shoes..will give it a go..have you tried banana skins for shoes too...i love finding other uses for everyday things too...
Well i'm hoping its going to be a quiet day today..not got much planned..have worked myself to a standstill again..will think of something to do..can't bear sitting down for too long..unless rugby is on then i won't move for anyone...lol.
It was my dd best friends birthday yesterday..she was 5..her mum told me they weren't doing a party as money is tight..so they spent the afternoon making cakes and making decorations..it was soo much fun..she gave us the rest of the cake as it was too big for them..its lovely...my dd told her it was like being at home..ain't that cute..
I went to see my older dd and gd,gs yesterday..the one i had words with..she has apologized, thats ok as long as she doesn't start again i will be fine helping her but the minute i feel used then we will have words again..she was a bit upset yesterday..her fella doesn't earn much and things are really tight for them..so i went up and helped her plan a budget and food stock..her house is old and very cold..none of her curtains are lined and the doors have huge gaps at the bottom...so we have had a chat about this as the gas board want to put up her dd again..so we talked about preparing for winter...lining curtains,sausage dogs,door curtains,hot water bottles,blankets etc...i think i got her fired up and gave her something else to think about...had a look in my airing cupboard last night and i have lots of old curtains so we are going to sort out something so we can line the curtains with old ones and make sausage dogs...her dad is going to seal the windows and doors..it wasn't too bad the weather yesterday but i could feel the draught in her house..i was cold when i left..
Well i think i am heading for a massive fallout with my brother..its his stag weekend..and he never invited hubby..his wife to be is next week and i have had no invite either..so if we are not good enough to be invited to them when just about the entire flumping world has then he can shove his wedding up his arris and i'll save my money thanks...thats better..families eh..
right thats me for now..off to do something..

JUST WANTED TO STOP IN AND TELL YOU ALL SOME AWESOME NEWS BECAUSE I KNOW YOU WILL ALL BE HAPPY FOR ME BUT WANTED TO SHARE IT ASAP
WE GOT OFFERED A HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It says on letter we have two days to accept a viewing - but its dated the 13th and they obviously are shut so I have emailed housing services to say I accept a viewing and made a note that its the 14th that Im sending it so Im within my alloted time, and then we need to have a housing inspection done so will be cleaning and painting within an inch of my life this weekend. Owen is going to move his bikes up his mums just for the housing officer coming as she always !!!!!es about them - OH MY GOD - in a rush - going to go and have a secret peek at it now - PICTURES TO FOLLOW

Mrs VP, my DH has colitis and when he had to go onto a low residue diet before a poke and prod session they suggested white bread *yuk*, boiled eggs or cream cheese. Can't remember anything else that was on the list. The only other thing I can think of is when MIL was first diagnosed the only thing she could cope with was mackerel pate from M&S.

FTM - glad you are getting things sorted with your DD just be careful she doesnt slip back into old ways AS for the stag/hen do - have they not included you as its going to be expensive?? My cousin has her do next week followed by a seredipity party the week after - its costing a fortune and there is no way I could afford to go - TBH I am not sure we will make the wedding as I would need an outfit and have nothing suitable thankfully she hasnt invited me - her mum hinted it was as she knew it would be difficult for us. (Mind you its difficult for them too - they are up to eyeballs in heavy debt and spending on the wedding like money grows on trees!!)

Charlies aunt- I wish our local dog centres had dogs like labradors etc - I am hoping to get another one now as our lab is getting on a bit - its been tested in Canada using Labs as companion for ASd children with huge success and my DS7 has an incredible bond with our dog - hence the attempt to get another now. I would dearly love a St bernard but OH wont budge!!
