SBO - I've tried all F Keys, but no luck, many thanks.

BTW I've got a question for all you frequenters of high class establishments - this afternoon I'm going to a 5* hotel for afternoon tea, courtesy of a raffle win by a colleague. I just want to check -is plain, common or garden, monkey tea called 'black tea'? It's what I've always known it as, but I don't want to look a complete eejit.

There are lots of different kinds of black tea, so you might want to have a bit of fun asking them to describe them to you :) I don't drink that much 'normal' tea, but like Yunnan tea from china as it has a very mellow flavour. I think Indian (Darjeeling) is probably the most likely to be ordinary but someone here will know more about tea than me!

wmf - serious advice here - get the gammon sliced and frozen or it will disappear. It's so lovely that usually restrained eaters have been known to polish the lot off in a very short time. And NEVER leave OH alone in the kitchen with the gammon - a friend of mine lost a whole joint in one evening

Larumbelle - Lovely that things are now mostly resolved. I expect your team have had to suffer from the beyatch boss whilst you've been away and will be wary of appearing to side with you - it's a natural response really.

If I was anywhere near a New Look I'd be using the vouchers too but I know people who wouldn't use them in case other people thought they were poor. How daft is that?

mardatha - candles and lamps are very "in" these days so I doubt the neighbours would think anything about it - mind you, I don't know what your neighbours are like ..... I sometimes sit with just a couple of candles lit in the evening just to create a nice, relaxed mood.

Must get me an avatar and a better sig - I feel decidedly frumpy next to you lot :rotfl::rotfl:

No, the ladies of New look will only be a bit peeved because the company have set up this £1 offer in the middle of a sale:D

Actually our new look was quite pleased yesterday - they were empty and said they had not had anyone in with any of the vouchers this week and they were beginning to think it had all been a huge waste of effort! :)

Have been back to Ikea today to buy another chest of drawers this time for our bedrrom as the ones my dad got for us (second hand) were way too big (realy short but very wide) taking up loads of floor space - so went to buy one of the offer ones tall with six drawers - managed to get the boxes on the trolley then wandered past bargain corner - where they had a set all made up reduced (diff colour but hey I really dont care what colour) by 30%. So ditched the boxes and bought the ready made set - big bonus as dad took over 3 hrs at weekend making DS13 set so would probably take me 3 days!!
Also got the cabinets for the utility room in the sale so am very happy - all thats left is find a way of getting bedroom shifted round to get old set out and new set in :D

    Larumbelle - brilliant news

Its Ds7 school fayre today and I have donated almost all of the stuff they are selling apparently:o teacher said they have never had this much stuff ever:o:o, just praying it sells (school have even taken some items out to use in school).
Spent ages last night making chocolate muffins whilst cooking dinner - so also dropped huge box of 50 muffns to sell as well, DD16 reckons they will disappear into staff room before they hit the sale too!

Have also talked school into running a uniform sale last week of term - allowing me to get rid of all of DS7 old uniforms (three years worth!) and also DD16 high school stuff too. Gonna contact all her friends parent to see if they will donate their old uniforms to sell too. I think alot pf parents will be pleased to get some uniform cheap especially at the moment.

Yesterday I was happily typing away when the screen went black and then came back on UPSIDE DOWN. I had to phone the computer shop and he told how to fix it - then said that I was the third person this week to do that !

If any one else tells me to keep calm I will:eek: :rotfl: I love the sigs everyone. I did an embroidery of keep calm and cross stitch but cannot find a frame to fit it so that didnt work :)

Been Cs shopping and got a shirt and a little camisole top for summer haha. I am actually going to cut a pattern from it and make myself lots more. Mum bought me some lovely black fabric so new skirts are next. Am sick of living in jeans ( not very goth) as I find them uncomfortable much prefer my full length gypsy skirts.

I managed to get some whoopsied fruit from a greengrocers while I was out including some squashed peachy type things that look like those tiny white turnips and they are so sweet. There are 3 bunches of spring onions so am going to try the microwave potatoes and spring onions - should work as well as leeks do?

Right am off to e bay land to see if anything I own is worth selling (note to self - see how much the postage is to send OH to some deserving singleton!)

Bit of plain flour mixed with water and stirred in if you have any.
