Found the instructions for 'defraging' in the first-page post. Had always wondered how to do it. Set it off to see what happened - it says it was last done on 1st June 2007 (its an old computer!). It says 'This may take from a few minutes to a few hours' - I suppose I'm in for a few hours! I just did this cos it's often on the daily list & I never knew how to do it before. What's going to be different afterwards? Is it really OK to use the computer as normal while it does it? My computer's offering me the option of setting up an automatic weekly 'defrag' - should I do this?

Time to defrag mostly depends on how "full" your PC is, but in your case its likely to be hours.

You can continue to use the PC, but it will be very slow. Probably better to set it off to run overnight instead. With the automatic weekly defrag the disadvantage is that the computer will slow down every time its doing it, so not good if whenever the computer is on its in use. Probably better to set it off overnight periodically.

Anyway.. OH has thrown a massive strop, driven home like a lunatic and is now growling at the cat.. he even tried snapping Squeaks arms off getting her back in her coat.. I did ask him if he was just going to sulk like a child or if he was going to tell me what he is sulking for... and got ignored.. so.. F*** him... to put it bluntly..
I feel the need to attack someone, so would you let me do it for you, since you are in no fit state?

I have washed more dishes and put on more washing

Currently decluttering a cup of tea then I need to go and get Grans pills from the chemist

House is looking so much better for the 2 days of intensive flying. Three rooms left now so one each day this week. I want it all done before Easter holidays begin. Then I can spend the time with the kids and having a declutter of each room without too much flying needed and of course the forecast is set good so lots of time in the garden.

Just going to update my list and then 15 minutes of admin/emails before school run and I even know what I'm cooking for dinner tonight!

    Hi All:D

DD back at school today as much improved so was back to work to me. Didnt get home until late though as just I was walking out the door someone just wanted me to help her quickly log on to a training system - 40 mins later I got to leave:mad:

So came in, had a sandwich and now about 15 mins till I need to collect kids. Means NOTHING has been done, place looks like a bomb has hit it. So HHC when I get back in. Luckily I did some of the lounge yesterday.
