Well monday pm was taken up escorting DD1 to her first hair appointment in a year. She has a lot of hair - it took them nearly one hour and 20 minutes to do it!

In that time I picked up some socks for me and a reduced fleece for DD2 in BHS - £20 down to £10 - which with my discount card became £9.50!

That means that DD2 can give DD1 her fleece back!

I could have saved more money if i'd waited until the 20% off day on Thursday, but didn't want to risk them running out of pink ones...... DD2 is very fond of pink.

Anyway DD1 felt well enough to return home by bus, which is good, and really likes her new hairstyle, which is a relief.

Have breakfasted DD2 and dispatched her to school, DS is in the shower - they have to go into college today, but it is a careers fair and they don't think any joiners will be there.........I can tell he's not impressed......

Off to sort out the ironing....then work.... but hey my local Co-op has reopened today after it's refit! If celebrating that isn't sad I don't know what is....

Are you sure? It's not a problem ;):p:D

It's one of those things that I think happens to us all once but rarely happens again thank goodness.

Stop reading the newspapers and use them instead to chase the BD away. I don't often read the papers as there is very little good news in them as good news does not sell as well as bad IMO.

    Anyway onwards and onwards!

Morning all grey and drizzly here so I've decided to spend the day at home flying.

Living room almost done, cat's won't be happy in a minute when I move them.

Just managed to get a MS job for Thursday, not had one in ages.

Going to delete 20 emails everytime I come on here today so off to do that before my next HHC.

Lamewolf, have a hug, step away from the newspapers and dont' look at them. Remember there job is to sell papers and nothing more so they'll write what they think will sell.

SSL lovely to have you back x

Serena glad the stitches came out well and healing quick vibes for you

Mumto5 I'm sending healing vibes to your mum; hoping her op goes well, and that she's on the mend as swiftly as possible, and coping vibes to you. (((HUG)))

BD has taken up residence, I fear.:( I'm just getting so sick of the newspaper taking the stance that all disability claimants are lazy good-for-nothing spongers. !!!!!!, I'd still be doing paid work if I was able; I didn't choose to have this damnable illness, but they make out like it's a lifestyle choice! Sorry, it's just got me so wound up I could scream if I had the spoons to spare.:( I already feel like I'm a worthless waste of space, without smug journalists who've probably never had to deal with anything worse than a hangnail making me feel even worse. And don't even get me started on the self-serving "public servants" who are going to be administering the torture of the vulnerable.
*Gets off soapbox and looks embarrassed* Rant over.

It looks like a good deal of today's list is already covered, though - I'll do my usual..... post, then delete from my Word.doc.... then I need a time out and a very large glass of Red Bull.

Tuesday twinkles! - Living room, hall and stairs!
    Level One
Declutter and vacuum! Done – vacuuming done by Mr LW
Spend half an hour doing something for yourself! .. make yourself a hair appointment or something! Deferred for now; hair colour required but I need assistance with this
    Level Two
    Wipe sofas
    Wash windows
dust and deweb!.. don't forget furry skirtings!
    Level three
Wash any soft furnishings that need doing WIP; need assistance with the few items remaining to be done
Vacuum right the way up the stairs! Whole bungalow done by Mr LW
Sort through coats n bags n shoes etc All tidy and in their places
    Extras

    1. Sort through a handbag Done the other day; nothing been put in it since! (I only have one handbag)
    2. Sort through a cupboard or drawer of junk
    3. 29 fling boogie... N/A; there's nowt left to fling!
    4. HHI
ETA: Mamaninie I for one Do Not Iron! Mr LW does what little we have to do on Sundays; the reason is that I cannot lift the ironing table myself, so he'd have to set it out for me, and it'd have to stay there, in my way, for the rest of the day; and he says he's happy to do it. Takes somewhere between half an hour and an hour, once a week.;) I usually do HHYoga or something like that instead when HHI is on the list.:o

With you all the way Wolfie! Don't get me started on smug journalists and disability:mad::mad::mad: - and as for politicians.......:mad::mad::mad:

apparently two of the questions in the 'fit for work medical exam' are can you scratch the back of your head and can you pick up a pen from the floor?

Well DD1 can do both, but she still isn't fit for work! She hasn't even applied for the modern equivalent of incapacity benefit - she just gets DLA. God help us when they reform DLA and let the same people loose on rooting out the scroungers......

I believe fraud on DLA runs at 0.5% - so if it aint broke don't fix it!

    Good morning everyone,

I'm sitting here posting this from the computers in the V-room at the airport! I've just had a very emotional fairwell from my Dad - he cried, which made me cry too! I'm still feeling quite choked up, but Moon is happy because he's just had a full cooked breakfast, followed by pancakes with maple syrup, and is currently watching the planes landing! :)

Hope your mum's op goes well Mumto5 and I'm pleased to hear the blue stitches are coming out serena.

Good luck with your move toots!

Special hugs to LadyL - will be imagining you in Jamaica with us - will send some sunshine your way. Thank you for your text messages.

I've left my mobile at home deliberately, so if anyone has texted me, please don't think I'm ignoring you, as we left at 7.40am.

    Happy flying everyone,

    soontobeMrsMoon xx
