Jinky get onto your MP NOW that is not good enough, in fact get onto the head of the council and the local TV station and local newspapers. Make sure you have a record of all contacts and responses.

My complaint concerns the Benefit and Revenue team and their IT systems and lack of information to users.

I applied online around Feb for HB and CTB and I my claim is still not on the system. I have had to borrow to pay my last two months rent to my landlord.
I find it completely unacceptable that I should be kept waiting so long to sort this out.
It could have been sorted weeks ago had I actually been told a simple piece of information, which they should have received.
I had taken everything that was needed into the Q&A at Brandon Street so as far I was aware everything that was needed for my claim was photocopied and sent away. ONLY my declaration form was not sent. Despite having phoned on numerous occasions I was only told this in the past couple of weeks, when someone actually made the effort to find out what was holding my claim up.
I took said form into John Street myself a week past on Friday and STILL my claim is not live in the system.
And due to my depression I am finding this situation exceedingly stressful.
I would expect this to be sorted within the next few days, because having to wait more than 2 months is quite frankly a joke.

My complaint email....requested a receipt as well, so they cant say they didnt get it!

Jinky - I'd still be inclined to contact your MP and go to see him/her. That is a horrendous catalogue of errors!

^^^Wot she said. They're 'avin' a laff, aren't they? This is utterly ridiculous, and if we have to bring the Flylady Bus along to deal with the council...... well, I have a big stick, and I'm not afraid to use it!;)It's got a piece of antler on the end....;):D

THANK YOU everyone for the support/sticks/advice to step away from the papers. You're right - it's an item on the front page of yesterday's paper that really set me off this time. CY I just don't think I'm strong enough, physically or mentally, to go through the hoops of fire for the IB replacement ("fit to work", my @rse! Trouble is, it's all tick boxes, which doesn't deal with people like me and your DD1). And I remember how awful the last DLA re-assessment was; Mr LW persuaded them to send a woman doctor to the house, but I still ended up in floods of tears before she was through with me.

Ah well, que sara sara (sp?). I'm going to try and eat a little lunch, clear my emails, and attack the living room dust bunnies.:o
