Christmas pudding in slow cooker is it possible?

Cheers, I was thinking of putting in on early evening so I can top the water off before going to bed.0

I always do my Christmas pudding in the low cooker and have used Delia's recipe for years. I give it about twelve hours.It's much better cooked that way as you don't have to keep topping up the water and the kitchen doesn't fill up with steam.
I also reheat the pudding in the slow cooker on Christmas day which gives me more space on the top of the stove for other things.
One year MIL came for Christmas and brought the pudding and it wouldn't fit into my slow cooker. Since then every time she offers to bring the pudding I tell her that I've already made it.0 -
Is there any chance you could post the recipe for this please? and instructions on how to do it in the SC? Pretty please??0

Hi all
Hubby has just come home from work with half a dozen mini Christmas puddings and they should either be streams on the stove for 30 minutes or microwaved.
OK one might think but the problem is I can not steam anything here for 30 minutes, the steam would cause no end of problems as I have to cook with bottled gas and have to have a dehumidifier running as it is ( my clothes cupboard is actually dripping with water now..lol) and I don't own a microwave.
Do you think I could maybe use the slow cooker with some water in it on the high setting for a couple of hours or so ? or the halogen oven ?
Really would like to use these but can work out how to cook them.
Any thoughts or ideas ?There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;

One Min in a microwave would do it. (If you have one?)I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0

Guessing you didn't read my first post thenI did say I don't own a microwave and if I did I would not be asking the question because I would have just done what the instructions told me to do.
