    Morning all

Happy mother's day all. Kids have given me my card and gift and got their own breakfast, while I am sitting here starving :rotfl:

Well to be honest this fluy bug thing is driving me mad. After thinking I was feeling better on Friday it has come back and floored me again.

Plan today is to visit my mum and continue getting the house in some sort of order.

Rain is forcast for smack bang in the middle of the afternoon so won't be hanging any washing out.

Dinner tonight is Roast Beef and all the trimmings.

OH is in work :( after getting called on Friday offering him OT. He didn't want to refuse as it's double time and although we are lucky to be comfortable enough OH doesn't seem to have got out of the mindset of years ago when we weren't as comfortable and we needed any OT he could get. Mind you neither have I, the kids were laughing at me the other day when we went food shopping as I had them looking for reduced stickers on items and just about everything we bought was reduced including 2 roast beef joints and 3 whole chickens, guesse what we've been eating all week :rotfl:

Right off to get changed and get started.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning all,

Happy mothers day, and hugs to those finding today hard xx

DD has said she will give me my present later on :T, mum and dad are coming for lunch, I have a bit of pork and I got 2 large free range chickens in the butcher yesterday (he had ran out of brisket) so I will cook one of those as well. Will do roasties and veg, might also do a yorkshire. Will go and pick some rhuarb in a while for a crumble. Must also ring my sister and see if they want to come.

Other than that, beds stripped and wm doing its thing, need to hoover through, and have a tidy.

We went to a jumble sale yesterday, dd pulled a face, but soon changed her mind, she got a vintage handbag, ladies jacket, 4 scarves, and a cricket pullover, and a shirt for £1.50 :T, she has been converted, and we are on the lookout for more :D

NPM :T, so glad Noah slept, hope it continues to work xx

Molly hope dd is ok xx

    Have good days all xx

Happy Mothering Sunday to those who want to celebrate it,
I saw my Mum yesterday and took her out of the care home to the local Harvester. She particularly likes the pineapple chunks on the salad bar. Her dementia is getting worse but she still enjoys the fuss and attention she gets when we take her on her monthly Harvester visit:)

oh that sounds so nice , its lovely she can still enjoy it

    Hi all
Hubby is busy in the garden so I have 2 loads of washing on the line, swept the landing & stairs carpet on hands & knees as the vacuum doesn't touch the hair that I shed constantly.
I have made 3 dozen biscuits, 2 loaves of bread & 4 rolls.
I've also made a cottage pie for DD who is popping in later, it will save her cooking one night.
    Hugs Hester

Happy Mothers Day to those who do it,and hugs to those who find it difficult.I have had a book and an Eva Cassidy cd from DS2,and a text from DS1 who is away at his friends,he may be back tonight :).I've got to admit its just not the same now for us as we no longer have My Mum and MIL ,we used to have real family days.Nice when the DSons remember though :D

I got the M n S meal deal,so beef & sticky toffee pudding for us later :jWe had a lovely night out last night at an 80th birthday party-we didnt really want to go but it was good, saw some people we havent seen for a while.

Meant to be going to see DH cousin who is home after her op,but have been streaming for the last couple of days,so he'll have to go on his own, unless we postpone.A friend may be popping over, but she's had the lurgy recently so I wont pass it on.In which case I'd better have a tidy up :o Have good days all.x

    Happy Mothers Day all.

A day off for me today as I cleaned and washed everything in site yesterday. DS3 made me bacon and eggs and bought me the new Adele CD which is lovely, tulips from my DH and a bottle of wine from DS2. DS1 sent chocolates from Australia and DD is on her way.

Need to go and visit step MIL this afternoon as she is in hospital so will take flowers and a card.

DH has gone to visit his mum and my DS3 has threatened to make me a stir fry for tea so no cooking which will be a nice change.

Allie snap my mum is also in Australia but I have spoken to her this morning.

DS1 is very excited about his upcoming wedding and is thinking of somewhere in Margaret River for the venue which will be lovely its ages since we had a family wedding, am already picturing my outfit, size 10 of course:cool:

Julie G reading The Sign of Seven trilogy in order as I got all three from the library:j I am half way through Blood Brothers and loving it.
